I had a good midnite laugh at these jokes!!

GETTING OLD IS FUN!

An elderly gentleman... had serious hearing problems for a number of years. He went to the doctor and the doctor was able to have him fitted for a set of hearing aids that allowed the gentleman to hear 100%.
The elderly gentleman went back in a month to the doctor and the doc tor said, 'Your hearing is pert. Your family must be really pleased that you can hear again.'
The gentleman replied, 'Oh, I haven't told my family yet.
I just sit around and listen to their conversations. I've changed my will three times!'
.

.
.
Two elderly gentlemen from a retirement center were sitting on a bench under a tree when one turns to the other and says: 'Slim, I'm 83 years old now and I'm just full of aches and pains. I know you're about my age. How do you feel?'
Slim says, 'I feel just like a newborn baby.'
'Really!? Like a newborn baby!?'
'Yep. No hair, no teeth, and I think I just wet my pants..'
.
.

.
An elderly couple had dinner at another couple's house, and after eating, the wives left the table and went into the kitchen.
The two gentlemen were talking, and one said, 'Last night we went out to a new restaurant and it was really great. I would recommend it very highly.'
The other man said, 'What is the name of the restaurant?'
The first man thought and thought and finally said, 'What is the name of that flower you give to someone you love? You know... The one that's red and has thorns.'
'Do you mea n a rose?'
'Yes, that's the one,' replied the man.. He then turned towards the kitchen and yelled, 'Rose, what's the name of that restaurant we went to last night?'
.

.
.
Hospital regulations require a wheel chair for patients being discharged. However, while working as a student nurse, I found one elderly gentleman already dressed and sitting on the bed with a suitcase at his feet, who insisted he didn't need my help to leave the hospital.
After a chat about rules being rules, he reluctantly let me wheel him to the elevator.
On the way down I asked him if his wife was meeting him.
'I don't know,' he said. 'She's still upstairs in the bathroom changing out of her hospital gown.'
.

.
.
A couple in their nineties are both having problems remembering things.
During a checkup, the doctor tells them that they're physically okay, but they might want to start writing things down to help them remember..
Later that night, while watching TV, the old man gets up from his chair.
'Want anything while I'm in the kitchen?' he asks.
'Will you get me a bowl of ice cream?'
'Sure.'
'Don't you think you should write it down so you can remember it?' she asks.
'No, I can remember it ..'
'Well, I'd like some strawberries on top, too. Maybe you should write it down, so's not to fet it?'
He says, 'I can remember that. You want a bowl of ice cream with strawberries.'
'I'd also like whipped cream. I'm certain you'll forget that, write it down?' she asks..
Irritated, he says, 'I don't need to write it down, I can remember it! Ice cream with strawberries and whipped cream - I got it, for goodness sake!'
Then he toddles into the kitchen.
After about 20 minutes, the old man returns from the kitchen and hands his wife a plate of bacon and eggs.
She stares at the plate for a moment.
'Where's my toast ?'
.

.
.
A senior citizen said to his eighty-year old buddy, 'So I hear you're getting married?'
'Yep!'
'Do I know her?'
'Nope!'
'This woman, is she good looking?'
'Not really.'
'Is she a good cook?'
'Naw, she can't cook too well.'
'Does she have lots of money?'
'Nope! Poor as a church mouse.'
'Well, then, is she good in bed?'
'I don't know.'
'Why in the world do you want to marry her then?'
'Because she can still drive!'
.

.
.
Three old guys are out walking.
The first one says, 'Windy, isn't it?'
The second one says, 'No, it's Thursday!'
The third one says, 'So am I. Let's go get a beer.'
.

.
.
A man was telling his neighbor, 'I just bought a new hearing aid. It cost me four thousand dollars, but it's state of the art. It's perfect.'
' Really,' answered the neighbor. sp;'What kind is it?'
' Twelve thirty .'
.

.
.
Morris, an 82 year-old man, went to the doctor to get a physical.
A few days later, the doctor saw Morris walking down the street with a gorgeous young woman on his arm.
A couple of days later, the doctor spoke to Morris and said, 'You're really doing great, aren't you?'
Morris replied, 'Just doing what you said, Doc: 'Get a hot mamma and be cheerful.''
The doctor said, 'I didn't say that. I said, 'You've got a heart murmur; be careful.'
.

.
.
A little old man shuffled slowly into an ice cream parlor and pulled himself slowly, painfully, up onto a stool...
After catching his breath, he ordered a banana split.
The waitress asked kindly, 'Crushed nuts?'
'No,' he replied, 'Arthritis.'

Yayyy....

I finally used up all of my birthday Charles & Keith $80 vouchers (courtesy of my ever generous sistassss) today!! I only had to pay extra $1.70 for my items -- a purse & a pair of high-heel sandals.

I was hoping to get the new arrivals, but ended up getting the non-new ones instead. Well, rather than getting the somewhat-stripper-shoes for Raya!!
Seriously, my target is to get a pair for Raya. I ain't gonna wear those that looks good in jeans.
Yes, they may look real sexy in skinny jeans. But seriously, kan behapa ku beraya pakai gladiator stripper shoes in baju kurung?!!!
Karang inda pedah kana suruh ku pole dancing! Erkkkk.... Get what I mean?!
Baik lagi menari...mun tumbang. Heh! Imagine that. Sopan dan bergaya eh!
.
.
Can't wait to get my Raya clothes next!!! One more thing left to do....search for extra nice tudungs.

Oh, and our house needs to be cleaned up. It looks pretty messed up now, due to the re-painting works done recently. Need to sort out the furniture etc. etc. etc..... So much to do. **sigh**

Tutup karan....

.....right after sungkai!!

I escaped to Sungai Akar and stayed with my family there till it's safe to go back home. Gosh! It was really uncomfortable to be driving at night without the street lights on.
And as I was driving with extra care.....I realized that I was driving with the fuel almost empty!!!

The best thing is, I was wearing baju rumah which was totally uncool, plus without my tudong on!! Yesss, with my chopped up hair that is. Sooooo uncool! Bad timing. Mau inda mau, tepaksa tah memaksakan diri singgah ke stesen minyak to fill up. I quickly drove up to the most ujung counter (or watchamaycallit!). Bari malu eh. Bida hantap baju rumah ku cukup with kuyak2 on the collar. BS!!!

Nasib baik I brought cash with me. Otherwise....hmm, you might find me waving on the sideroad!

A good dream...

The alarm clock went off, I went back for a few seconds of sleep.
Can't seem to get out of bed, like I want to continue the dream I was having.
A good dream.....

I was with my sisters and we were chilling in my eldest sis's kitchen.
Surprisingly, a familiar face was there too.
A late friend, my late boyfriend.
He was there washing up in the kitchen, gathering with us!

I didn't seem to bother or a tad bit surprised at all in my dream.
But when I think about it now, the dream feels really strange.
I mean, why did he emerge in my dream??
Nevertheless, it was a really calm dream. No rush...no chaos.

And it sure is a good dream to be seeing someone you used to know (and passed away) there standing in the same room (well, literally!). **sigh** A nice dream indeed....

This song is totally awesome!! Been listening to it all day.
The rhythm and lyric attracted me the first time I heard it.

For a minute there, I thought she's Nana AF.

Our meal for sungkai today was Indomee fried (on stove, not the usual 'rebus'-&-done method), ikan salai, grilled chicken & lekor. Had warm coffee after that.
Still unsure what to have tomorrow.

One thing's for sure, school periods are shortened. Kids will be released by 11.40 a.m.
Loads of time to think about sungkai menu!! Heh!

Ramadhan is here~~

Finally, the long awaited fasting month is here.......

The first day of Ramadhan is....quiet. I'm actually implying on my quiet home. Hubs started the day with painting two feature walls in our home. The colour looks deliciously Milo-ish.
I started my day with laundry.

We're probably gonna break our fast at my in-laws later.

Starting with recital of Tahlil,...break-fast after beduk,... Maghrib prayer,....dinner + more food,....Isya' prayer + Tarawih.... Aaaand a cuppa warm coffee for me, while watching tv.

I'm getting excited.....
I'm looking at the time over and over again. What should I wear?? Do I need a jacket or a shawl to cover up, just in case?

And you wonder.......
I'm meeting my crowd...the ladies...my ex-colleagues...my posse...LOL~
My 'posse'?!! **roll eyes** Bilaaa jua ada 'posse'!

But seriously, yeah.. I'll be meeting with some friends over at Capers, which I seriously never been to. And I've no idea where it is till a good friend of mine told me exactly where it is...yes, with directions and all, where to head to after going up the escalator at Le Taj. Just so that I don't get lost on my way going there.

I'll also be meeting with a couple of new ladies...friends of my besties, of course. I don't mind at all. The more the merrier!!

I'm thinking, there will definitely be fun, loud laughters, loud jokes... And I don't simply mean to put it in a bad way. There's always something good about all that in the end. Good food, that is!!

I'm expecting Italian food for dinner tonite. Hubs won't be joining us, and he's totally fine with that.

That reminds me. Last night, he brought home this awesome roti canai! Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a li'l bit. But have you ever eaten roti canai with cheese inside it? I haven't!
It's called martabak special with chicken. But I'm amazed with how the taste turned out. I like it right away.

Mrs. Sneeze-A-Lot ~

I sneezed a lot today.... after my morning shower, during work, in the afternoon as I got back from work and while I stepped out of my car tonight.

So, how's life going for me this past few weeks?? Been busy with work, giving out revisions, giving out test papers from time to time....and another one coming up on Wednesday next week is the Mock Exam. And yup, it will be during the fasting season.

45 more days till their big day, the PSR exam!! It sure gives me the creeps. I don't know what to expect then. I pray and hope they do fine and pass with flying colours. Amiin...

Oh, that reminds me. Brunei is having their grand sales again! I should probably try to shop for the students' end of year gifts. I especially love getting stuffs from the Under Ten store. Went there a few days ago and bought some gifts for the winners of our Bulan Bahasa Melayu (BBM) quizzes.

I can't wait till 10th September. Why???? Coz then I can pick up my Raya clothes from the tailor, that's why! *Sigh* I'm just so so so excited to see how the outfits turn out.... Can't wait to put them on to check how it looks on me.... And I still have 6 more extra clothes in my wardrobe too. But those I have to tahan-tahan la. Next time saja potong lagi. Heh!

Oh gosh, it's already midnite! I better crash now. Bed, here I come!!

I have always love this song and the lyrics by Rabbani. Cukup memberi keinsafan secara zahir dan batin. I remember listening to it a couple of months before leaving Brunei to perform my Umrah years back.

Impian Hamba
Album : Qiblat
Munsyid : Rabbani

Pada-Mu Allah kami bermohon
Keberkatan hidup yang berpanjangan
Aman sentosa...Murah rezeki
Tenang beramal mengingati-Mu

Apa yang ada..Semua milik-Mu
Nikmat kau beri hanya pinjaman
Hanya yang sedar tahu bersyukur
Bukannya ia untuk dibangga

Biarlah sedikit asalkan diberkati-Nya
Daripada banyak yang memudaratkan
Berkat di dunia oh indah nikmatnya
Berkat di akhirat balasannya syurga

Manusia sering lalai..Mudah tewas cubaan
Ujian dugaan jadikanlah tauladan

Putaran kehidupan
Pentas hidup untuk penilaian
Jawapan sebenar
Dari tuhan untuk insan
Bersabar hadapi ujian

Berkati hidup kami
Dengan sinar hidayah
Jauhkan segala
Dari pancaroba dunia

Berikan perlindungan
Selamatkan dari fitnah ngeri
Bahana derita
Yang tak mampu kami tanggung

Sunday in KB

A good Sunday to y'all....
I'm currently in Belait...waiting for guests to arrive here at ngangah Diah's new home. It's sunny outside. This new house looks pretty good, I've to say. A two-storey house with 5 bedrooms. A reasonably big home for their family.
Later, we'll probably stop by that usual restaurant which serves good rojak.
Tomorrow's another Monday...but I'm sure the Muslims in Brunei are all ready and prepared for the arrival of the fasting month of Ramadhan on Saturday, insya-Allah.

~Our 5th Wedding Anniversary~

I'd like to re-live and remember the beautiful and glorious moments of our lives, as today is our 5th Wedding Anniversary.

As hubs loves to phrase it:
"Aku terima nikahnya, Dayang ***** Binti Haji *** *****
dengan mas kawinnya $300 tunai dan sebentuk cincin".

And with the wedding vow made on a blissful Friday afternoon, 6th of August 2004, we are officially husband and wife.

Sungai Akar.

'Nur Kasih'

Nur Kasih can be viewed every Friday, 9.00 p.m.

I love the casts, the places they shoot, the scenery.... Try watcing it once, and you'll get what I mean.

I'm beginning to like this Malaysian drama series, yet missing a number of their episodes at the same time. I wish that TV3 could do a marathon of the show. It will certainly be most proper to view it during the Ramadhan season.

Where can I watch the whole series? Is there a DVD copy selling somewhere out there here in Brunei? The easiest way would be catching up via youtube. And I guess that's the only way there is for me right now.

Hazy & smokey~~

It's has been soooo long since I last post anything here. I've been too lazy, plus busy with.....facebooking! Guilty as charged!!
.

.
Anyhow, I'm now at work...sitting at the back of my class while my kids are sitting for their Maths I test, prior to PSR Trial Exam. And so it's true I've been busy...but not just getting online.
.

.
It's hot and hazy here in Brunei since a couple of days ago.
.
I am fasting today, this is my second day of qadha puasa. Still have 5 more days to qadha my last year's puasa.
.

.
I managed to send off my raya clothes to my usual tailor yesterday. I'm pretty much glad that I did it in advance. I have always been a last-minute person. But this time around, I made sure that I push myself. I do want my clothes being tailored neatly, compared to last year's. So yeah, I noticed that too. I can't blame them for rushing. After all, it's a win win situation.
.
.
Oh gosh! The air is pretty messed up today....It's not just hazy but it smells like smoke and it's settling in the air rite now. Mana tia perfume ku ani!!!

In between Marcell and Reshmonu

I was driving home the other night, when the radio played one perfect number I used to listen to a few years back. And it immediately reminded me of the time when I was missing hubs (who's my fiance at that time). He was away performing his Umrah then in 2004.

'Semusim' is also a nice soothing tune for the brokenhearted. Hehehe.... (Click to check out the tune).

(Click the title to watch vidclip courtesy of youtube)
Kemarin kulihat awan membentuk wajahmu
Desah angin meniupkan namamu
Tubuhku terpaku

Semalam bulan sabit melengkungkan senyummu
Tabur bintang serupa kilau auramu
Aku pun sadari, ku segera berlari

Reff:
Cepat pulang
Cepat kembali, jangan pergi lagi
Firasatku ingin kau tuk cepat pulang
Cepat kembali, jangan pergi lagi

Alirnya bagai sungai yang mendamba samudera
Ku tahu pasti kemanakan ku bermuara
Semoga ada waktu, sayangku

Ku percaya alam pun berbahasa
Ada makna di balik semua pertanda
Firasat ini rasa rindukah atau kah hanya bayang
Aku tak peduli, ku terus berlari
***Dan lihatlah sayang
Hujan terus membasahi
Seolah turun air mata
And talk about old tunes that I never fail to get over with, that reminds me of Reshmonu.
Oh, I always love "Everytime you walk away", "Don't you cry" and my very own favourite "It's you that matters".

This is my current status on FB since Thursday.....

.
.
.
These are a couple of comments that I received.... Thanks guys.

.
.
.
However, today I found a new response and some new comments....

Nice!!

First of all, I gotta say this.... It's been days, perhaps weeks since I last blog, yea.
I guess I've been busy...yeah, busy with other stuffs like....FACEBOOK-ing!!
Not just FB-ing....but with Restaurant City and Barn Buddy.

I can sit long hours just catching up with other games available in FB. Crap!
I remember yesterday I sat too long till my back hurts and my ass went numb! Numb!!!
Seriously, I could even damage my eyesight if I go on like this every single day, in which I CAN! Off costttt.... Gosh, I sound like an Facebook addict! Oh well, who aren't these days, huh?

Everybody's into FB nowadays. People would be surprised if you don't have an FB account. You could almost get a 'shocked-face' response if they can't help it. Or you might get a 'lame-look' response. It depends on how you say "Nope, I dun have one" to their face.
And when you've said it, don't be ashamed to feel slightly guilty, coz you're missing all the fun.
HAH! GUILTY AS CHARGED!!!

Saturday, July 18, 2009

Oh, thank God....

it's going to be another long weekend....Yaaay! Another good break that we've been waiting for.
Soon, it will be August again.

Music to my ears...

Love the idea of cruising in my car....while listening to PCD songs....and let the melodies sweep my mind off the stress.....

Hush Hush (I will survive),

Halo,

I'm Done,

Happily Never After,

Space,

Until U Luv U.

I just love to play them over and over and over again. Good thing I bought the whole album.

Sharing some thoughts with you

I came across a forwarded e-mail with thoughtful contents that I'd like to share. Please read it quietly and give some thoughts...

To realize the value of a sister/brother:

Ask someone who doesn't have one.

To realize the value of ten years:
Ask a newly divorced couple.

To realize the value of four years:
Ask a graduate.

To realize the value of one year:
Ask a student who has failed a final exam.

To realize the value of nine months:
Ask a mother who gave birth to a stillborn.

To realize the value of one month:
Ask a mother who has given birth to a premature baby.

To realize the value of one week:
Ask an editor of a weekly newspaper.

To realize the value of one minute:
Ask a person who has missed the train, bus or plane.

To realize the value of one-second:
Ask a person who has survived an accident.

Time waits for no one. Treasure every moment you have. You will treasure it even more whenYou can share it with someone special.

And the final question....

To realize the value of a friend or family member: LOSE ONE.

Day 4:
Sunday...feeling a whole lot better than yesterday. I woke up and realized that the strain on my throat is gone. The cut on the side of my mouth is still there.

I checked in the mirror...the white patch is there still.

Alhamdulillah, the pain is gone now. My appetite is slowly improving. I just need to continue with the antibiotics.

Saturday, July 11, 2009

Day3:
Saturday, I woke up and had a hot shower. Washed my face & ended up with a cut at the edge of my left mouth. Hmm...sabar saja walaupun padih. Tepikir jua, how am I gonna teach or even speak kalau inda dapat buka mulut basar2?!

I had another restless night, pusing kanan, pusing kiri, garu sana, garu sini. But it was a li'l better. At least it wasn't as excruciating to swallow. Hence, the pain is still there.

So, I got out of shower and showed the rashes to hubs. The matter did look worse, so I decided to see another doctor. This time, a private clinic, Dr Asri. Ughhh....it was itchy all over again.

With the boss's permission, I drove myself to Serusop. The consultation went well which the doctor claimed that the rashes I'm complaining about is actually an allergy reaction to the 'Ibuprofen' medication.
Great!! And the throat infection is apparently.....Tonsillitis.
I paid up $55 for antibiotics & allergy tablets.

I'm glad that I went for a second opinion. But I should've gone there first thing.

Somehow, the itch is still here to stay. I just want it to go away......

Down with a throat infection

Right now, I'm dealing with a throat infection. It's really excruciating, I tell you.
This is my first experience of throat infection.

Day 1:
Wednesday, I sensed that a sore throat is coming. I wanted to get some lunch, but my tongue felt tasteless.

I had a restless sleep. It was hard and painful for me to swallow my own saliva. I slept with my sweater on.

Day 2:
Thursday morning, a headache, a major sore throat...too much to handle. So I went to the doctor who explained that I'm actually dealing with a throat infection.

I was startled, wondering how and where did I get it from. He explained that it's all a common thing now as infections are going around easily at this time.

The whole waiting-for-turn-&-medication process took me 3 hours!! By the time we were done, it was 11-ish.

I crushed into bed. The lack of sleep did not help at all. I tried to get some in the afternoon, but the swallowing kept me up the whole time.

How does it feel? Like a stone stuck to your throat and everytime you swallow, it gets in the way.

I had a restless night again yesterday. The pain is still there. Apart from that, I have a minor rash on my neck, shoulder, back and tummy.

I googled and found out that the rashes may have caused by the infection.

It has been one and a half day since I last bath. So, I may need to hit the shower and freshen up a bit. My face has gotten all greasy.

Hubs has been so wonderful to take good care of me, preparing me with rice porridge and handing me the medication.

I hope and wish that the pain resides today coz I need to go to work tomorrow. And I hope I don't end up with another restless night later.

Oooooooh.... Lamanya

....aku inda update!!

School has re-opened its door on Monday.
Alhamdulillah, my turn was this morning. Everything went well and smoothly. I came as early as before 6.30 and we took turn menyenaraikan nama murid & suhu badan, and menampal sticker sebagai tanda murid sudah melalui pemeriksaan suhu badan.
My next duty is this Saturday.

Have you heard of their version of 'I will survive'?? If you haven't, you can check it out here. Taken from the album Doll Domination 2.0, it includes Jai Ho (unfortunately that's my least favourite!)

The ITCH is still here...

Happy Tuesday morning....
I'm sitting at my working desk in the staff room. Been blog-hopping since morning. It's now 12.15 noon. I've been like sitting here....surfing all morning....had 2 cups of nescafe and teh tarik.

What shall I do in the afternoon? Probably do some withdrawal and stop over at Seri Qlap Mall to pick up some items.

I miss my mom, my dad, nephew & niece. Haven't seen them since I got back from KL. Had to go over this self-quarantine...but from my family saja. Hehehe...

So, I'm sorry to my sistas & family. That being said, the shopping gifts (or 'oleh-oleh') may need to stay with me for the time being. Banyak plg yang kan d bagi ani...Tahan-tahan tah saja dulu ah. Kesiiiiian.

Mind you, I still have this urge (or I rather call it 'itch') to SHOP!! Can't help it. It just gets to me when I shopped non-stop for more than 3 days last week.
My mind is silently searching for SALE labels on stores. Eventhough inda bejalan-jalan, I did some window blog-shopping....

May Allah be with you, Michael.

I love this version of Michael Jackson's songs medley made by AJ Rafael (courtesy of youtube).

Listening to 'You are not alone' and 'She's out of my life' simply takes my mind to the memories of MJ. His death is a sudden to all of us.... Personally, to me he seemed immortal. He didn't look like his age. It's mainly because he's remembered for his lovely music and extremely great performances.

I remembered his last words during a press conference announcing his supposedly last stage performance planned on end of July. He seemed sincerely certain that it would be his last concert.

Now that he's really gone, it just feels unbelievable to learn the truth.

He's out of our lives, I dunno whether to laugh or cry. And it cuts like a knife, he's out of our lives....

Tuesday, June 23, 2009

I stopped by at Charles & Keith to get myself a nice pair of flat shoes last Sunday. Boy, didn't I spend a looooong time there till poor hubs had to wait outside.

So I actually spent the first piece of $20 voucher (out of 5 pieces altogether, to be exact! A big thanks to my sistas for my bday gift).

Don't you just love their store. They have the coolest totes...the hippest shoes & sandals. I actually kinda wanted to get 2 pairs but decided to wait till next month....or better yet, save it for a Hari Raya shoes!!!

NO! These are not the flats I was talking about, okay.
Anyhow, we've been watching DVDs every night lately. We caught up with some action movies, comedies and a couple of chick flicks, like: 12 Rounds; Passengers; A Night At The Museum; Bedtime Stories; Bride Wars.
Maybe we're gonna watch some Korean movies tomorrow night, I dunno.
All I know is it's late....it's past mid-nite and I can't sleep....

random thoughts & craving

3 more days till I'm off for a holiday getaway. The downside is I shall return by Sunday. That means, I will have to start work again straight away on Monday...without at least one day break.
I didn't see it coming in the first place. It seemed like a good offer then.

However, I slept late last night and had thoughts about:

1) an idea for a sisterly-home-business

2) random ideas for Dad's gift...a set of studs & cufflinks (to go with his baju melayu for Hari Raya), an engraved pen, a traveller-handy bag (or 'man-bag', like how my sis puts it!)

3) the important thing I need to do today which is to get my lesson plan done for next week.
.
.
.
Hubs is pretty busy himself since morning. And I actually gave him a hand with his ABM as well....snipping & cutting this and that....pasting them up together.

Thus, I'm still here blogging away my thoughts rather than typing my LP.

Oh, btw, I'm kinda tais liur for rice and curry, rite now!

Happy Father's Day

Quizzes oh quizzes....

I went through with a couple of quizzes on Facebook. Here's what I found....

Taneya just got their Japanese Name!
I just got my Japanese name. It is Chiko: arrow/pledge

Taneya just got their Korean Name!
I just got my Korean name. It is Kyung Soon: Honored and mild!

Taneya took the First Impressions: What's yours? quiz and the result is Friendly!
You like the work the crowd. You have no problem meeting new people, smiling a bit, and introducing yourself if no one else will. You're the socialite, and the crowd is your stage.

.
.
Taneya took the What's your car color? quiz and the result is Silver!
Clean and civil: You like to be able to enjoy life without any pretenses. Attention isn't the thing for you, and you'd rather be away from the limelight in case something bad happens. Plus, silvers clean, and that rings all sorts of bells for you.

.
.
Taneya took the Why do people secretly fear you? quiz and the result is impossible to beat in an argument!
Look, when it comes to the verbal arena, you're impossible to beat. You're just too damn good at it. Hell, even lawyers fear arguing with you: You're too intense!

Just sharing one lovely Indonesian tune with all of you, blog-hoppers....

It took me weeks to actually found this particular number. It's been played on KristalFM lotsa times, but I was always too busy to actually sit down and google it.

Sakit Sendiri -- by Cindy Bernadette feat. Gege

Ada yang kurasa dari dirimu
Kau kini menjauh, apa salahku
Apakah ku menyakiti hatimu
Katakan padaku, jangan membisu

Kau kini berbeda jauh
Dari [lelaki/wanita] yang dulu membuatku jatuh cinta
Siapa yang telah merubahmu
Untuk meninggalkanku kasih

Chorus:
Bila engkau harus pergi
Tinggalkan saja ku sendiri
Jangan bilang masih cinta
Kau hanya membuatku menangis

Untuk apa bilang sayang
Buat hatiku makin susah
Pergilah kasih pergi saja
Biar aku sakit sendiri

Walaupun harus berpisah
Takkan kulupakan engkau
Yang pernah ada di dalam hidupku
Tak mungkin aku memaksa

Kalau memang cinta t'lah sirna
Mungkin ini yang terbaik

Started playing this game on Facebook. Do I like it? It's pretty addictive! Your character will be stronger once you have expand your posse/house member. You gain lotsa accessories & clothes when you involve yourself in events that are offered.

Eseeeehhh...aku ah, posting psl game saja masani. Maklum, CUTI!! Woooohoooo.... Main game saja tah.

Remembering 19/6/1999

Thank you....mostly for the memories.
As of today, it will be exactly a decade...10 years since 'he' passed away....a son, a very good friend, a partner and a brotherly figure to some of us. But his memories shall live on to those who have known him.
I could still remember the day it happened. Everything went so fast. It felt like the sky fell down on me.... You were supposed to meet me in the evening. You 'left' me at noon.
But, I forgive you....and I thank you for sharing a part of your life. I moved on. It was hard but I survive....and I am stronger because of it.
Thank you, eventhough you're no longer here with us.

Business goin' smoothly

It drives me crazy if I can't get through to Facebook and watch my restaurant making sure that business goes smoothly.
My gourmet point is currently 82671 -- Level 19.

We offered & sold the previous Samsung 32-inch to the sister-in-law.....aaaaaand.....
replaced it with...
a Series 4!!
I just can't help myself. I took the best offer there was.
We turned up at Yayasan and wanted to replace it with a Series 3 at the beginning. But it turned out that they only have one last piece...which is the display item. I rolled my eyes when the salesman said it's a good offer considering they'd give a 5% less.
Barang display.....brapa jam sudah kana pakai....
Since they have new stocks for Series 4, and it's just a slight difference in price...I said why not!!
I must say, it's better than the previous one.
One could never have too much tv....or bags....or shoes....etc....etc.....etc...

I can't wait till Tuesday....
Why Tuesday? Coz I'm gonna be sitting for another exam.

Oh yeah... and right after the F.R. exam, this is what I'm gonna do.

I would go straight to Coffee Bean and get myself an XXXL sized Ice-blended Mocha!!

I have been cutting off my caffeine since last month....god knows for how many weeks/days now.
I don't crave for it....just that I'm longing for the bitter taste of strong coffee.... and the smell is simply too tasty to ignore.

Pis bradah!

Munique with her 'pis pis'....
Bucu with sengih-sengih....
Danish is jangul-jangul....
and abang with 'klik klik'.
Smile everybodeh...walaupun di hujung dunia.

Up, up and upgrading

You may have noticed Restaurant City is upgrading their system ever so often now. I did complain now and then, thus always looking forward to the newest items to decorate my restaurant.
Macam hari ani saja, I bought that flat screen tv + music player + red curtains + another white wall divider + a vase of red roses.
Aaaaand, if you happen to stop by my restaurant, you can actually listen to the tune I just bought today for 8000 coins. It's called The Fiesta Brothers.

Listening to the tune makes me wanna do cha-cha-cha and chicken-dance to it.

Chicken-dance like the one in F.R.I.E.N.D.S. .... when Monica got a huge turkey stuck on her poor head!

I did mention dat I purchased something during the weekend, yea.

We...... well, more like ME... always wanted a TV in the master bedroom. So, I don't need to drag the mattress to the living room just to watch DVDs anymore.

And so, we got these DVD player & 32-inch TV to upgrade our bedroom.

I guess, the holiday is the appropriate time to catch up on the long outdated list of DVD movies....
That being said, mesti rajin bali DVD ni. I wonder, ada tampat DVD rental kah??? Sekali liat jua saja ah.

Hectic weekend ~~

This post is long overdue, I realized that. If you don't agree, you will eventually.

Soooo, here goes.
Md. Haziq Zul Danish just turned 6 last week. I simply don't remember which day of the week that we actually took these pictures.

We had a small family gathering over at my in-laws. Food were spread at the centre of the room. We took out the laptop and broadband and got online with Munique.

Video-calling with the birthday boy, Danish.

Munique, kan mau jua join begambar sama kami di rumah! Kesian, kan.
.
.
.
.

And here's a recap of what happened over the weekend.....last week, that is. (Told ya it's long overdue).

Thursday, 28th May ~~ Checked in and stayed a night over at Rizqun hotel.

Friday, 29th May ~~ Checked out of Rizqun and reminisce over the cozy bed and the good night sleep I had.

.
.
.
.

Saturday, 30th May ~~ Rushed over to tambing to catch the last boat to Temburong. There was a major traffic jam all over bandar especially at the drop off zone. But we made it just in time.
Oh man, punya la ramai di tambing. Clash lagi pasal long weekend, cuti on Monday...hmm...banyak urg balik kampung.
Ngam tah lagi both counters full house sudah, tepaksa tah squeezed into seats buat muka seposen.
.
.
.
Come night time, mom & dad alum jua sampai2 dari beliun. We were starving then, so we ate over at this restaurant in Bangar. Order nasi ayam pun nada aying sup...abis!

Balik rumah, inda belaku kan change clothes or mandi. All our bags were in dad's car!
Ampit jua membuat bunga talur di rumah uncle sebalah, buat2 nunggu drg sampai. Atu pun around 10-ish.

~Sabrina~
Oh, and I did try out the new Telbru broadband, but it didn't work AT ALL due to lack of network, I guess. Damn it!
.
.
.
.
.
Sunday, 31st May ~~ Jemputan kahwin over at my cousin just next door. The weather was kinds' cloudy, but the heat was overwhelming. And among the crowds there, I bumped into an old ex-classmate from ugama school. But I still can't figure out his name..... He's the photographer, btw. Good to see old friends!
At 3-ish, we were already on the boat going back to BSB. This time, inda asak-asak and more space. Sigh..thank God.
Plus... Monday nada school!!! Cuti sempena ABDB or RBAF. Aaaah, bless!
.
.
.
.
.
Here are some random images taken during the day....
Irfan with his 'supposedly-pecky-pecky' hair, if you know what I mean.

~Irfan & Tata @Sabrina~ (Notice his pecky-pecky hair? It was good at the beginning saja).

"Anty Chicher..."
"Aaah, apa?"
"Abang mau emmmm 'timbak'." (pointing to my camera).
"Timbak??"
"Anty bagi abang, abang mau timbak."
"Jantah, barat ni.... Abang bediri sana, Anty saja 'timbak' abang."

Muka Irfan lapas kana 'timbak'. LOL

Inda kurang kiap ni. Angat nyamu!

Jantah malu-malu nah.

Hmmmph... Part ani yang inda siuk ni. Aku yang nada masuk!

Posing..posing...aku jua yang inda masuk.

~Sisters (bride & bride's maid)~

I like her make-up and the whole outfit. She looks G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S!
(~singing Fergie's song~).

Selamat Pengantin Baru to my lady cousin.
Tahniah kerana sampai ke jinjang pelamin. Semoga berkekalan hingga akhir hayat.

Oh please...

I'm sooooooooo sick of hearing the word 'FANTASTICAL' being used openly...on radio, especially. Do you get what I mean?

And to link it to 'Hello Kitty' in Brunei.....
C'mon... I'm sure there are more suitable...or better yet, appropriate word, for that matter... that doesn't sound like they're offering 'male reproductive glands' to fans of Hello Kitty!!

Get it already??!!!

I still love this song

And as much as I'm no close fan of Jacqueline Victor, I like her version even more. No offence, Karen White.

SUPERWOMAN - Originally by Karen White

Early in the morning
I put breakfast at your table
And make sure that your coffee
Has its sugar and cream
Your eggs are over easy
Your toast done lightly
All that's missing is your morning kiss
That used to greet me

Now you say the juice is sour
It used to be so sweet
And I can't help but to wonder
If you're talking 'bout me
We don't talk the way we used to talk
It's hurtin' so deep
I've got my pride,
I will not cry
But it's makin' me weak

**Chorus:
I'm not your superwoman
I'm not the kind of girl that you can let down
And think that everything's okay
Boy, I am only human
This girl needs more than occasional
Hugs as a token of love from you to me, ooh, baby

I fought my way through the rush hour
Trying to make it home just for you
I want to make sure that your dinner
Will be waiting for you
But when you get there you just tell me
You're not hungry at all
You said you'd rather read the paper
And you don't want to talk

You like to think that I'm just crazy
When I say that you changed
I'm convinced I know the problem
You don't love me the same
You're just going through the motions
And you're not being fair
I've got my pride, I will not cry
Still I can't help but care

**Chorus

Oh, baby, look into the corners of your mind
I'll always be there for you through good and bad times
But I can't be that superwoman that you want me to be
I'll give my everlasting love if you'll return love to me

**Chorus

If you feel it in your heart
And you understand me
Stop right where you are
Everybody sing along with me
Hoo, hoo, hoo, ooh, ooh, hooHoo, hoo, hoo, ooh, ooh, hoo
I'm the kind of girl that can treat you so sweet
But you got to realize that you got to be sweeter to me, oh, ho, ho
Hoo, hoo, hoo, ooh, ooh, hoo
Hoo, hoo, hoo, ooh, ooh, hoo
I need love
I need just your love

**Chorus

Happy 60th!

Back in the days, these are the kinda vehicle they ride on. In America mostly, I suppose. Apparently, I'm trying to relate my mom's birth year.

Mummy was born on 3rd June 1949.

Happy 60th birthday to my mummy, Hjh Napsiah Idrus Leong.

Semoga Allah sentiasa melindungi dari penyakit dan bahaya. Dan diberi keberkatan yang berpanjangan. Amiin ya rabbal alamin....

I could've given her that mug, but instead, we decided on giving her an authentic Bonia tote for 200++ bucks. I hope she likes it. I know she will if she knows how much its worth.

I + S x handful = Exhaustion!

Was out today with my sistas and nephew & niece. All I can say is...goooosssh. They're a handful!! Especially the nephew.
Sampai saja di rumah, I felt totally exhausted. Irfan had tears right from the start....dari rumah, dalam kreta, di Hua Ho Manggis, di Soon Lee Lambak, and then in the car again...and last sekali dapan rumah....until dalam rumah. Aying mata tah ganya dari awal. Payahnya kah control, Tuhan saja tau.
He was sooo close to jumping off from the top of the escalator! Heeeshhh... I almost strangle him on de spot! Banar tah. Baik jua ada Uncle San giving a helping hand. Haiyaaaa...
My nephew's like overdose gula...not just sugar rush...more like stoned!
I think ah, bek tah sebulan sekali saja bejalan ani. Atu pun ikut mood ku la.

A note to my besty

I would like to express my personal congrates to my besty (who always has been dear to me) Lynn Seruji
for her engagement to her fiance,
Jaafar Musa.

I wish you both the best and have a great journey ahead towards your wedding date.
I'm pleased and greatly relieved that they've now moving forward to wed after so many years.
You guys are truly meant for each other, no doubt.

I'm happy to have shared and come to know Lynn personally, for she's very understanding, open-minded and a great listener.
Love,
~Taneya~
