The hiking today was cancelled due to wet weather which started around noon. So we stayed in till 2.
Still planning on whether to check-in somewhere tomorrow night.
This week's schedule would be attending a cousin's wedding reception in Temburong, probably staying a night during the weekend. Oh and I almost forgot. My besty, Lynn is getting engaged on Sunday too. I'm not sure if I can make it, tho'. Didn't expect the date to clash.
The good thing is it will be a long weekend since Monday is a public holiday (in lieu of 31st May).
Tomorrow I shall be out in the afternoon for a facial appointment. Pimples are beginning to emerge by itself, perhaps the lack of sleep & nap I'm getting. (I blame Restaurant City for that!)
I was out with hubs tonite in search of a birthday gift for dear lil' Danish. So, we went to Soon Lee at Batu Satu and found this nice little corner where they sell loads of kid's stuffs on 1st floor. We decided on getting him a Ben-10 themed stuffs: a watch, a set of stationary & a pencil case.
I should remind myself to always go there for children's gifts.
Hey, it's almost midnite! No wonder aku mengantuk... Zzzzzzzzzz....

Buzy bee

This week is gonna be a hectic one. Been out almost every afternoon now, what's with picking up photocopied notes regarding GO/FR and doing personal errands.
Like this afternoon, I had an appointment over at Emelle Salon and Spa (located at Melabau Complex in Serusop) to do a couple of 'personal beauty stuffs'.
Ira-the-beautician has now opened her own salon and I personally will try her promotional services, like the Balinese massage for only $25 (1 and half hour). And, hair creambath+shoulder, arm massage for only $15.
Her new place is located exactly next to Aiana Restaurant.
Ohhh, I'm sooo gonna try her massage!
I'm kinda thinking of checking into a hotel, but can't exactly decide either to stay at Rizqun or Empire hotel. Empire sounds too pricey but surely worth it. Rizqun, on the other hand, sounds like fun where I can just go down for window shopping...or rather 'menyukat bangunan'.
Tomorrow, however, our staffs will be going out to do some hiking. Where else kalau bukan Bukit Mentiri which I've never set foot on walaupun tiap-tiap hari melintas and ampir dari rumah. Unbelievable, rite. Should've...and the opportunity has yet to come!
I hope the weather would be wonderful with less sun/heat, mudahan cloudy all the way and mudahan inda ujan. I'm thinking of taking the camera out with me.
Oh, gotta check my restaurant!!

Happy birthday to my big sis, Yenny who turned 34 today.
Semoga dipanjangkan umur, dimurahkan rezeki dan sentiasa di bawah lindungan Allah. Amiiin...
P/s: I hope you like the table lamp we got for you! Good for your new home.

Feeling mellow...

I just love this slow number by Lemar. Used to listen to it before dozing of to dreamland...
Another one of my fave is 'Time to grow'. Go google the lyrics and tunes sometimes, and you'll get what I mean.
(Simply click the song title if you haven't heard of it already).

Lemar - 'What About Love?'

What if I took my time to love you?
What if I put no one above you?
What if I did the things
That really mattered?
What if I ran through
Hoops of disaster?

No one would care if
We never made it
We're in this alone
So why don't we face it
There is no room to
Blame one another
We just need time to
Forgive each other

[Chorus]
What about love?
What about feeling?
What about all the things that make life worth living?
What about faith? What about trust?
And tell me baby...what about us?

How can I give this
Love a new beginning?
How can I stop the rain?
It's never ending
How do I keep my soul believing?
Memories of how we Should be keep calling

I'll take the rivers rise
I'll take the happy times
I'll take the moments of disaster

Addicted to Restaurant City!

This game on Facebook is addictive. Every single day hubs and I would get online just to check on our restaurants. We were like...

Oi...cek estoran ku!
Awu, nih mencek jua ni.

A few minutes after that....

Bah, aku lagi main estoran eh.
Eh, abang dulu. Karang tah, kan nyusun meja lagi ni.

Eseh...hmm. Seriously, I know they're virtually ours, but it's tempting...from the money, the employees, and to the extent of designing the whole layout of the restaurant. It's all virtual business.

This is the new interior of my diner. I wish they've a bar counter that I can serve customer directly. At the moment, I've 3 cooks and 3 waiters. And I'm on Level 12.

This is hubs 'garai'. Bisai garai ah, macam kuil tapikong. Festive lagi sulnya. Nice combination of green and pink. Double thumbs up!!

And here is the interior which he designed all by himself. At the moment, he has 2 cooks and 2 waiters. He's now on Level 7. He's catching up real fast, y'know!! I almost regret for introducing him to restaurant city. Cheh!

Let's vamp the universe!

This is my vampire avatar. Devilish and super-sexy!! I call her Kat Von D partly coz I personally love and miss Kat on Miami Ink.

I've been busy...busy playing online games mostly on Facebook, that is.

So I finished attending taklimat over at MoF. We're supposed to have another afternoon session, but it was cancelled then. And so, I've been spending time alone waiting for hubs to come home.

It's 7-ish and he's still out! Whatever is he doing. What's keeping him?! He's been out since morning, for God's sake!

Come home already, man.... Lapar eh menunggu...haiyaaaaa....Abaaaaaang! Joli kah?! Inda membawa eh. Heh!!

Proud of hubs

Hubs officially finished his TP last Saturday and shared a nice and simple farewell ceremony with his other TP colleagues from UBD. I listened attentively to what he had to say when he got home. I'm happy...glad...and relieved that everything went so well. Now, all he needs to wait for is his graduation day.
That very day, he had a call regarding his new workplace. Turned out he'll be teaching at Serusop religious school, starting Monday. I'm not that happy when I found out he'll be teaching in the afternoon. :-( That means, we won't be spending time together on week days... Sucks!!
Today, I got back from work to a quiet home... I felt lonely. I waited long hours for hubs to come home. *Sigh*
Nevertheless, I feel content over everything that he has gone through what's with continuing his study, learning and teaching new things and going all the way to getting a degree in the end.
I never said it in person, but I'm so proud with his achievement, and that I know he did it all for himself.
So, 2009 shall be a special, eventful and fruitful year for hubs as he turns 30. I'm proud and glad that we're in the same boat.

Oh wow...it's been sooo long since I last blog, yea.

So, here are the late updates.

The AF7 results and my personal first impressions as I watched the show... Please don't take it personally.
1st place - HAFIZ (Yaaay!!)
2nd place - ARIL (Hmm...)
3rd place - AKIM (Awww, sucks! Should've gotten 2nd place).
4th place - YAZID (*roll eyes*)
5th place - ISMA (Yay! Serves her right!)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I had a really nice Thai massage last night at Kang Comfortzone. It was excruciating when she started to push her weight as I lay facedown on the mattress. I could feel my face turned red and my body just gasped for air!! I hate that part.
I shall put a big reminder on this week.
I'll be attending another F.R. (Financial Regulation) morning/afernoon session on 20th (Wednesday) and 21st May (Thursday). Venue: Kementerian Kewangan, Berakas.
Oh man, I'm just not into going out of work to attend the sessions. I don't mind going in the afternoon, but I don't feel at ease just being out there when I should be in class. And I always find myself drifting away thinking about the kids. Now, that bugs me!
Here are some random images that I've saved in my phone and been meaning to post for quite sometime....
These first three images were taken this evening, at Excapade's newest spot located in Kiulap, Regent Square. The place was noisy & busy as a fish market!
My woven, indoor slippers.
Location: The Arch.
Baby girl, Ta-ta @ Sabrina.
Notice anything?? Look closely.
Me...location: K.K. Koya, Telisai.
Hubs...location: Tutong Hospital parking spot.
This is Muiz, Year 6A student.
He's officially 11.
Virtually mine...
This is Taneya's Lounge. Yes, apparently it's a virtual restaurant.
Ignore the boring tables & chairs, but notice the doors, the plants and cozy seats lined up next to the entrance. I've hired 5 employees now, so that's a step forward to making the business work smoothly.
Final concert tonite!!
Tonight is the night that everyone's waiting for...the final concert of AF7.
Now, it all comes down to... Hafiz, Akim, Aril, Yazid and Isma to show their best performance and who will grab the first, second and third place!
I am gonna get my food, drinks and laptop ready on the coffee table. I just hope the weather would be okay later.
Unfortunately, MU would be playing live too later in the evening. That means, I need to share the screen with hubs! Or probably fighting over the remote control!!
Friday, May 15, 2009
I should be revising... I should be looking through my notes... instead of keeping a close eye on my 'restaurant'! I should be reading... I should be... I should be... I should not waste so much time in front of the tv...my computer.
Sasak-mode due to AI
I am utterly surprised and unsatisfied with the result (or fact, for that matter) that Danny Gokey got eliminated, instead of Kris Allen!!! I've totally no interest of watching him perform the other night.
How in the world could this happen! I mean, c'mon... Kris Allen to go into the finals along with none other than Adam Lambert. Okay, confirm pulang Adam atu manang nanti, but to be COMPETING IN THE FINALS... Oh, man! Totally out of the picture.
Hmm...I guess this post just goes to show that I'm in a sasak mode.
AF7 final week!
I can't wait for Saturday night to watch who wins the title!!! Kalau buleh, I want...
1st place - AKIM
2nd place - HAFIZ
3rd place -
ARIL
4th place - ISMA
5th place - YAZID
Ani ramalanku saja semata-mata....and obviously based on favouritism. Heh!
We all wait and see sajaaaa.
Ok, I'm totally hooked to Bunk Face-'Situasi' rite now. Maybe I should get the whole album. The band sounds pretty good too.
Between Hafiz and Akim
I didn't get to watch AF7 last nite due to a cousin's Malam Berbedak invitation. I arrived home past 11 p.m.
It's not till noon today that I get to see the finale of the show. It turned out that Aril was voted back into the group with the other four contestants (Isma, Hafiz, Yazid and Akim). They will be competing against each other in the final week of AF. Somehow, it's slightly unfair to vote one who's been eliminated, duncha think so.
~ Hafiz ~
Ever since Hafiz's first performance, I knew he has the potential of being an entertainer. He carries a smooth, laid-back attitude like he owns the stage.
~Akim~
I personally like Akim for his major progress in stage performance. I think he's beginning to get his own groove since being given a new hairdo.
It all started when he made this darn great performance singing 'Situasi - by Bunk Face'. He didn't only sing it on stage but made his way off stage, down with the crowd. That's when I started to change my perceptive. I guess he's now out of his coccoon. I'm sooo looking forward to his final performance.
Oh, and last night's performances were no difference. He made full use of the microphone stand too!
Saturday, May 9, 2009
At noon, hubs and I stopped by Dewan Muhibah, located in Jalan Lapangan Terbang Lama Berakas. They're selling Brunei-made products. So you can definitely expect food there, along with furniture, clothings, perhiasan rumah, etc. I noticed that we've Brunei Darussalam Batik as well.
For lunch, we stopped by a cousin's stall there. I decided to try her products, Laksam & Laksa Johor. And I've to say, they're pretty good. I love the kuah ikan. *Sigh* I think I'm gonna get some more tomorrow!
Friday, May 8, 2009
And the result....
I'm quite happy with the result on elimination night. Nevertheless, ada jua inda puas hati.
I'm glad that they finally eliminate Allison. Yay! Finally.... I totally can't stand the hair colour!!
But, I certainly didn't expect Ryan to announce Kris as the first person to be in the safe zone, dibandingkan dengan Adam & Danny atu bah.
I think he's counting on his good looks saja.
Catch up with me...or rather 'kicap' wif me!!
Batah dah inda posting this past few days aah. But all I can say for now is I'm feeling glad and relieved over something. By the way, I just came home from my mom & dad's.
So much has been going on lately. I would be lying if I said it's nothing less dramatic. I rather not share it here, tho' for it is exclusively private and literally family business.
So, let's skip that part for now and do a fast rewind....
Wednesday morning >>>> Me and my fellow colleagues attended this 'Taklimat G.O. (General Order & Service Regulations)'. A must if you want to pass the exam in June, off costtt.... (Amiiin!) Luckily, I met up with Noy, a bestfriend of mine when we did our degree course. So, we decided to sit together during taklimat.
Now here comes my ranting...
Hmm, malangnya in the hall, these 3 or 4 young, ignorant ladies sitting behind us were chatting away (in their non-whispering tone, particularly 1 of them!) sampai kami payah concentrate (instead, mendangar cetanya yang inda pedah2 tia plg!).
Sheeesshh. Okay, I get it that it was some kinda' reunion to you, but jangan tah selfish sampai inda paham2 that others (around you) are there to listen good to the Pegawai in front of the hall. Apalah!!
Plus..plus... After all that talking, mind you,....we heard that she actually had attended the taklimat "YESTERDAY". What in the wooooorld!!! Or better yet, WTFFFFFF!
Apatah sebenarnya niatnya menghadiri atu? The way I see it, menyusahkan urang keliling!
Pegawai explain di dapan, ia pun meng-explain rah kawannya. Excuuuuse me! Be considerate to others lah!!! Heeeessshhh.
Moral of the story: Baik jua aku ni penyabar...keh keh keh.
Wednesday afternoon >>>> Me and 5 other colleagues attended the Majlis Kesyukuran bagi Guru2 Dh. 6 2008 Brunei II (B) at Stadium Restaurant in Berakas. All I can say...kanyang makan. Hehe. I love the crispy chicken cacah with kicap soya. Woo-hooo. Plus, free flow of pepsi. Aaaahh... Bayangkan....
After the ceremony, Bucu, Uncle, Hubs and I went to the Expo Malaysia held at the Indoor Stadium.
Next week, I may have to attend a second session of another 'Taklimat on F.R. (Financial Regulations)' next Wednesday. Hopefully, pagi saja like the other day, so I don't have to come in the afternoon. Tee-hee...
On personal note, I should depart from school earlier than 7.30 a.m. to avoid traffic jam + pusing2 cari parking space!
And I hope I don't get to sit anyway near the ignorant bunch again, or I might snap at them this time around.
