I had a good midnite laugh at these jokes!!

GETTING OLD IS FUN!

An elderly gentleman... had serious hearing problems for a number of years. He went to the doctor and the doctor was able to have him fitted for a set of hearing aids that allowed the gentleman to hear 100%.
The elderly gentleman went back in a month to the doctor and the doc tor said, 'Your hearing is pert. Your family must be really pleased that you can hear again.'
The gentleman replied, 'Oh, I haven't told my family yet.
I just sit around and listen to their conversations. I've changed my will three times!'
.

.
.
Two elderly gentlemen from a retirement center were sitting on a bench under a tree when one turns to the other and says: 'Slim, I'm 83 years old now and I'm just full of aches and pains. I know you're about my age. How do you feel?'
Slim says, 'I feel just like a newborn baby.'
'Really!? Like a newborn baby!?'
'Yep. No hair, no teeth, and I think I just wet my pants..'
.
.

.
An elderly couple had dinner at another couple's house, and after eating, the wives left the table and went into the kitchen.
The two gentlemen were talking, and one said, 'Last night we went out to a new restaurant and it was really great. I would recommend it very highly.'
The other man said, 'What is the name of the restaurant?'
The first man thought and thought and finally said, 'What is the name of that flower you give to someone you love? You know... The one that's red and has thorns.'
'Do you mea n a rose?'
'Yes, that's the one,' replied the man.. He then turned towards the kitchen and yelled, 'Rose, what's the name of that restaurant we went to last night?'
.

.
.
Hospital regulations require a wheel chair for patients being discharged. However, while working as a student nurse, I found one elderly gentleman already dressed and sitting on the bed with a suitcase at his feet, who insisted he didn't need my help to leave the hospital.
After a chat about rules being rules, he reluctantly let me wheel him to the elevator.
On the way down I asked him if his wife was meeting him.
'I don't know,' he said. 'She's still upstairs in the bathroom changing out of her hospital gown.'
.

.
.
A couple in their nineties are both having problems remembering things.
During a checkup, the doctor tells them that they're physically okay, but they might want to start writing things down to help them remember..
Later that night, while watching TV, the old man gets up from his chair.
'Want anything while I'm in the kitchen?' he asks.
'Will you get me a bowl of ice cream?'
'Sure.'
'Don't you think you should write it down so you can remember it?' she asks.
'No, I can remember it ..'
'Well, I'd like some strawberries on top, too. Maybe you should write it down, so's not to fet it?'
He says, 'I can remember that. You want a bowl of ice cream with strawberries.'
'I'd also like whipped cream. I'm certain you'll forget that, write it down?' she asks..
Irritated, he says, 'I don't need to write it down, I can remember it! Ice cream with strawberries and whipped cream - I got it, for goodness sake!'
Then he toddles into the kitchen.
After about 20 minutes, the old man returns from the kitchen and hands his wife a plate of bacon and eggs.
She stares at the plate for a moment.
'Where's my toast ?'
.

.
.
A senior citizen said to his eighty-year old buddy, 'So I hear you're getting married?'
'Yep!'
'Do I know her?'
'Nope!'
'This woman, is she good looking?'
'Not really.'
'Is she a good cook?'
'Naw, she can't cook too well.'
'Does she have lots of money?'
'Nope! Poor as a church mouse.'
'Well, then, is she good in bed?'
'I don't know.'
'Why in the world do you want to marry her then?'
'Because she can still drive!'
.

.
.
Three old guys are out walking.
The first one says, 'Windy, isn't it?'
The second one says, 'No, it's Thursday!'
The third one says, 'So am I. Let's go get a beer.'
.

.
.
A man was telling his neighbor, 'I just bought a new hearing aid. It cost me four thousand dollars, but it's state of the art. It's perfect.'
' Really,' answered the neighbor. sp;'What kind is it?'
' Twelve thirty .'
.

.
.
Morris, an 82 year-old man, went to the doctor to get a physical.
A few days later, the doctor saw Morris walking down the street with a gorgeous young woman on his arm.
A couple of days later, the doctor spoke to Morris and said, 'You're really doing great, aren't you?'
Morris replied, 'Just doing what you said, Doc: 'Get a hot mamma and be cheerful.''
The doctor said, 'I didn't say that. I said, 'You've got a heart murmur; be careful.'
.

.
.
A little old man shuffled slowly into an ice cream parlor and pulled himself slowly, painfully, up onto a stool...
After catching his breath, he ordered a banana split.
The waitress asked kindly, 'Crushed nuts?'
'No,' he replied, 'Arthritis.'

Yayyy....

I finally used up all of my birthday Charles & Keith $80 vouchers (courtesy of my ever generous sistassss) today!! I only had to pay extra $1.70 for my items -- a purse & a pair of high-heel sandals.

I was hoping to get the new arrivals, but ended up getting the non-new ones instead. Well, rather than getting the somewhat-stripper-shoes for Raya!!
Seriously, my target is to get a pair for Raya. I ain't gonna wear those that looks good in jeans.
Yes, they may look real sexy in skinny jeans. But seriously, kan behapa ku beraya pakai gladiator stripper shoes in baju kurung?!!!
Karang inda pedah kana suruh ku pole dancing! Erkkkk.... Get what I mean?!
Baik lagi menari...mun tumbang. Heh! Imagine that. Sopan dan bergaya eh!
.
.
Can't wait to get my Raya clothes next!!! One more thing left to do....search for extra nice tudungs.

Oh, and our house needs to be cleaned up. It looks pretty messed up now, due to the re-painting works done recently. Need to sort out the furniture etc. etc. etc..... So much to do. **sigh**

Tutup karan....

.....right after sungkai!!

I escaped to Sungai Akar and stayed with my family there till it's safe to go back home. Gosh! It was really uncomfortable to be driving at night without the street lights on.
And as I was driving with extra care.....I realized that I was driving with the fuel almost empty!!!

The best thing is, I was wearing baju rumah which was totally uncool, plus without my tudong on!! Yesss, with my chopped up hair that is. Sooooo uncool! Bad timing. Mau inda mau, tepaksa tah memaksakan diri singgah ke stesen minyak to fill up. I quickly drove up to the most ujung counter (or watchamaycallit!). Bari malu eh. Bida hantap baju rumah ku cukup with kuyak2 on the collar. BS!!!

Nasib baik I brought cash with me. Otherwise....hmm, you might find me waving on the sideroad!

A good dream...

The alarm clock went off, I went back for a few seconds of sleep.
Can't seem to get out of bed, like I want to continue the dream I was having.
A good dream.....

I was with my sisters and we were chilling in my eldest sis's kitchen.
Surprisingly, a familiar face was there too.
A late friend, my late boyfriend.
He was there washing up in the kitchen, gathering with us!

I didn't seem to bother or a tad bit surprised at all in my dream.
But when I think about it now, the dream feels really strange.
I mean, why did he emerge in my dream??
Nevertheless, it was a really calm dream. No rush...no chaos.

And it sure is a good dream to be seeing someone you used to know (and passed away) there standing in the same room (well, literally!). **sigh** A nice dream indeed....

This song is totally awesome!! Been listening to it all day.
The rhythm and lyric attracted me the first time I heard it.

For a minute there, I thought she's Nana AF.

Our meal for sungkai today was Indomee fried (on stove, not the usual 'rebus'-&-done method), ikan salai, grilled chicken & lekor. Had warm coffee after that.
Still unsure what to have tomorrow.

One thing's for sure, school periods are shortened. Kids will be released by 11.40 a.m.
Loads of time to think about sungkai menu!! Heh!

Ramadhan is here~~

Finally, the long awaited fasting month is here.......

The first day of Ramadhan is....quiet. I'm actually implying on my quiet home. Hubs started the day with painting two feature walls in our home. The colour looks deliciously Milo-ish.
I started my day with laundry.

We're probably gonna break our fast at my in-laws later.

Starting with recital of Tahlil,...break-fast after beduk,... Maghrib prayer,....dinner + more food,....Isya' prayer + Tarawih.... Aaaand a cuppa warm coffee for me, while watching tv.

I'm getting excited.....
I'm looking at the time over and over again. What should I wear?? Do I need a jacket or a shawl to cover up, just in case?

And you wonder.......
I'm meeting my crowd...the ladies...my ex-colleagues...my posse...LOL~
My 'posse'?!! **roll eyes** Bilaaa jua ada 'posse'!

But seriously, yeah.. I'll be meeting with some friends over at Capers, which I seriously never been to. And I've no idea where it is till a good friend of mine told me exactly where it is...yes, with directions and all, where to head to after going up the escalator at Le Taj. Just so that I don't get lost on my way going there.

I'll also be meeting with a couple of new ladies...friends of my besties, of course. I don't mind at all. The more the merrier!!

I'm thinking, there will definitely be fun, loud laughters, loud jokes... And I don't simply mean to put it in a bad way. There's always something good about all that in the end. Good food, that is!!

I'm expecting Italian food for dinner tonite. Hubs won't be joining us, and he's totally fine with that.

That reminds me. Last night, he brought home this awesome roti canai! Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a li'l bit. But have you ever eaten roti canai with cheese inside it? I haven't!
It's called martabak special with chicken. But I'm amazed with how the taste turned out. I like it right away.

Mrs. Sneeze-A-Lot ~

I sneezed a lot today.... after my morning shower, during work, in the afternoon as I got back from work and while I stepped out of my car tonight.

So, how's life going for me this past few weeks?? Been busy with work, giving out revisions, giving out test papers from time to time....and another one coming up on Wednesday next week is the Mock Exam. And yup, it will be during the fasting season.

45 more days till their big day, the PSR exam!! It sure gives me the creeps. I don't know what to expect then. I pray and hope they do fine and pass with flying colours. Amiin...

Oh, that reminds me. Brunei is having their grand sales again! I should probably try to shop for the students' end of year gifts. I especially love getting stuffs from the Under Ten store. Went there a few days ago and bought some gifts for the winners of our Bulan Bahasa Melayu (BBM) quizzes.

I can't wait till 10th September. Why???? Coz then I can pick up my Raya clothes from the tailor, that's why! *Sigh* I'm just so so so excited to see how the outfits turn out.... Can't wait to put them on to check how it looks on me.... And I still have 6 more extra clothes in my wardrobe too. But those I have to tahan-tahan la. Next time saja potong lagi. Heh!

Oh gosh, it's already midnite! I better crash now. Bed, here I come!!

I have always love this song and the lyrics by Rabbani. Cukup memberi keinsafan secara zahir dan batin. I remember listening to it a couple of months before leaving Brunei to perform my Umrah years back.

Impian Hamba
Album : Qiblat
Munsyid : Rabbani

Pada-Mu Allah kami bermohon
Keberkatan hidup yang berpanjangan
Aman sentosa...Murah rezeki
Tenang beramal mengingati-Mu

Apa yang ada..Semua milik-Mu
Nikmat kau beri hanya pinjaman
Hanya yang sedar tahu bersyukur
Bukannya ia untuk dibangga

Biarlah sedikit asalkan diberkati-Nya
Daripada banyak yang memudaratkan
Berkat di dunia oh indah nikmatnya
Berkat di akhirat balasannya syurga

Manusia sering lalai..Mudah tewas cubaan
Ujian dugaan jadikanlah tauladan

Putaran kehidupan
Pentas hidup untuk penilaian
Jawapan sebenar
Dari tuhan untuk insan
Bersabar hadapi ujian

Berkati hidup kami
Dengan sinar hidayah
Jauhkan segala
Dari pancaroba dunia

Berikan perlindungan
Selamatkan dari fitnah ngeri
Bahana derita
Yang tak mampu kami tanggung

Sunday in KB

A good Sunday to y'all....
I'm currently in Belait...waiting for guests to arrive here at ngangah Diah's new home. It's sunny outside. This new house looks pretty good, I've to say. A two-storey house with 5 bedrooms. A reasonably big home for their family.
Later, we'll probably stop by that usual restaurant which serves good rojak.
Tomorrow's another Monday...but I'm sure the Muslims in Brunei are all ready and prepared for the arrival of the fasting month of Ramadhan on Saturday, insya-Allah.

~Our 5th Wedding Anniversary~

I'd like to re-live and remember the beautiful and glorious moments of our lives, as today is our 5th Wedding Anniversary.

As hubs loves to phrase it:
"Aku terima nikahnya, Dayang ***** Binti Haji *** *****
dengan mas kawinnya $300 tunai dan sebentuk cincin".

And with the wedding vow made on a blissful Friday afternoon, 6th of August 2004, we are officially husband and wife.

Sungai Akar.

'Nur Kasih'

Nur Kasih can be viewed every Friday, 9.00 p.m.

I love the casts, the places they shoot, the scenery.... Try watcing it once, and you'll get what I mean.

I'm beginning to like this Malaysian drama series, yet missing a number of their episodes at the same time. I wish that TV3 could do a marathon of the show. It will certainly be most proper to view it during the Ramadhan season.

Where can I watch the whole series? Is there a DVD copy selling somewhere out there here in Brunei? The easiest way would be catching up via youtube. And I guess that's the only way there is for me right now.

Hazy & smokey~~

It's has been soooo long since I last post anything here. I've been too lazy, plus busy with.....facebooking! Guilty as charged!!
.

.
Anyhow, I'm now at work...sitting at the back of my class while my kids are sitting for their Maths I test, prior to PSR Trial Exam. And so it's true I've been busy...but not just getting online.
.

.
It's hot and hazy here in Brunei since a couple of days ago.
.
I am fasting today, this is my second day of qadha puasa. Still have 5 more days to qadha my last year's puasa.
.

.
I managed to send off my raya clothes to my usual tailor yesterday. I'm pretty much glad that I did it in advance. I have always been a last-minute person. But this time around, I made sure that I push myself. I do want my clothes being tailored neatly, compared to last year's. So yeah, I noticed that too. I can't blame them for rushing. After all, it's a win win situation.
.
.
Oh gosh! The air is pretty messed up today....It's not just hazy but it smells like smoke and it's settling in the air rite now. Mana tia perfume ku ani!!!
