Counting down to the final hours of 2009

This is the final day of 2009. The clock is ticking away to the midnite of 2010.

I'd like to take this opportunity to give my farewell to 2009. It has been a blast! I'll miss you like any other years that past. But life has to go on (macam ada yang past away saja!) and I'm welcoming 2010 with hope and gratitude towards the future.

2009...I'm afraid, we shall NEVER meet again.

So let me just say HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010 to all my friends and family, near and far, new and old.

Have a great new year celebration no matter where you are. Remember to drive safely. Let the 1st of January 2010 be a good day to start with.

Hubs and I went out yesterday late afternoon. Hairan, Serusop area wasn't as jammed as we imagined. Well, except for simpang masuk to Bismi bookstore. Biasa la, kan buka skulah...parents menyerang kadai buku sebelum kehabisan stok. And yang paling menarik, inda panjang queue pun di ATM Taib. Haaairan...

We only went out for a short while in Serusop, though. Not sure how it was like in Kiulap & Gadong. Stopped by Mestari Jaya Serusop & Excapade for sushi take away, bought a few dvds & we're home.

Watched this thrilling korean movie 'The Chaser' before bed last night. And ughhh...all that gruesome murder and chasing here and there left us kabak-kabak!

I mean, let me tell ya...it was gruesome alright if the killer uses chisel and hammer to kill his victims!

I shall stop at Bodyshop later as they're offering 20 and 25% discount for one-day-only Holiday Special. Hope I don't get too carried away besides getting myself make-up brushes.

Today's 28th December... Yes, people. Today is the day that roads will be jammed with shoppers and shopping centres swarmed with flowing customers. Bookstores may definitely be extra busy too!

I certainly am pretty excited too. Tapi inda apa la, tunggu tah beberapa hari lagi, just so that I don't get caught in a traffic jam sana-sini, or disappointment coz ATM machine kehabisan stock duit.



I do feel the urge and cravings to go shopping knowing that bonus kan keluar. Yeah, naturally, that's me. In spite of that, shopping isn't just the thing that comes to my mind.

Bonus to me is....something I wanna share with mom and dad. It's time for another family gathering. It's also an opportunity to set aside for advance bill payments.

Apart from all that, yeah, it's time for retail therapy. Hours and hours and hours of it too. That reminds me, my car single-cd player says it's time to get a new one. Pandai tia rusak, limpas 5 tahun memakai. Nevermind la. Kinda old fashioned looking jua sudah. I mean, c'mon....a single-cd player! They have touch-screen today, or at least cd-changer. It needs serious pimping, but nevertheless, I can settle with a minor-not-too-sophisticated-looking-to-impress kinda cd player.

So, whatever it is that you planned on spending your couple of grands on, lets be sure that it is what you need, yeah.

By the way, 3 days left for 2010! Woohoooo....

I'm currently at work, sitting at my desk in the office. The music is playing on my computer.

*I'm quite excited for Friday and Saturday, coz us sisters decided to check in at Centrepoint hotel, bringing along the troops, the kids and mom & dad.

****Chinese New Year falls exactly on 14th February (Sunday) next year, which only means we get a day off on Monday. Planning on spending it with families in KK. And a lil bit of shopping perhaps, kalau kadai inda tutup.

First, there were gossips, then followed by news on tabloids, media that they're getting divorced.

Soon after that, Anang's heartbreaking song that he related to his personal life with ex-wife.

I have yet to pay a visit to my usual tailor. Need to make baju uniform for a cousin's wedding due on first week of January next year.

With two more weeks to new year, I know I should come up with the design by now so I can get them sent to the tailor.

I'm so done with searching through beautiful designs in the internet, mostly inspired by the mini and maxi dresses. **sigh**

If I could just decide whether to make a baju kurung or baju fesyen.....

Baju kurung = comfortable.... But, baju fesyen could look stunning....

Decision, decision!

It's the time of season again~

It's the time of the year again where I'll be occupied with my own project. That is typing and arranging scheme of work for subjects I'll be teaching next year. But most of all, I'll be looking forward to do my own 'self-designed-and-laminated' cover for the lesson plan.

I'll be sitting in front of the computer and search for my favourite image to be used in the background of my name. And to find the perfect image would be oh-so-endless as I would be looking through all the colourful, beautiful images in websites.

When I did finally find one that I like, I'd paste my name, personal file, school etc. (Anything that's paste-worthy for the cover. Of course, it's up to you wat-so-ever to be shown in the cover, yea.)

That reminds me, our boss requested on showing the school's motto, vision & mission in the front cover. And I forgot what they were!

[Note to self: jot down motto, vision and mission from the staff room Monday next week.]

Believe me, I'd be spending so much time on this....experimenting with colours, fonts, size, etc etc. When I'm done with that, it would be printed out in a piece of paper.

The next step is to find the most attractive wrapping paper in town! And I'd go just about anywhere to find it. When the search is done, I'd cut 2-pieces in the size of A4 paper. Get a laminating film and put it into the laminating machine. Not forgetting, the front cover has to have my printed name (that I bragged so much about earlier!).

Finally, punched both front-&-back-laminated covers with a binding machine. Lastly, print out the scheme of work, time-tables, class list etc etc aaaand I'm done.

We're here in Temburong, taking a few days break from the hectic and shopping-craveness at BSB.

It's past 9 p.m. and I'm typing away while TV3 is at the background. Hubs is already in bed, exhausted after the long drive from bandar. I'll definitely gonna crash early tonite. Nothing much to do here except for tv and getting online. The Telbru frequency via broadband is terribly low and slowwww here, btw.

Soooo....We're here to check out what's instore tomorrow at Bangar town....probably some bazaar-selling event opened only on Friday and Sundays during this holiday. Apart from that, we're here to relaaaaxxxx.....

It's quiet here at our home... All alone... Finished with the laundry by 1-ish...
Hubs is away, probably occupied with loads of work at the mo'... Can't text him coz he left his phone here...
What am I to do? I thinking of leaving the house for a regular visit at the salon, but I'm hesitating.
I shall wait till hubs comes home.

I watched an earlier episode of Lipstick Jungle last night. Oh, was it good to watch Nico & Victory on the screen again! I missed them. Nico just started getting to know her young boyfriend and Victory just started getting hitched with rich boyfriend, Joe.

A good Monday

It's a good Monday. Starting with submission of postgraduate application forms for 2011. I wish to continue my study. Mudahan dimakbulkan. Amiin....

Finally, I'm done with the application forms. Finished with photocopying forms, certificates, develpoing extra copies of passport-sized photos (which actually weren't recent photos of me!). Gosh, I'm embarassed to even take short glimpse of myself taken in 2006 or sumthin'. My face was wider...I look plump!

By 11-ish this morning, hubs and I went out window shopping and shopping, literally. Hehehe... Bought some new picture frames for his graduation photos.

I didn't realize that we were out that long till I got home at 4.30 p.m. It was fun and tiring at the same time...just go out and about without a plan.

We were hopping from one store to the other....Soon Lee Batu Satu....Hua Ho Tanjung Bunut....Cutepack Kiulap....and back home.

I didn't get myself anything except for a 2010 personal diary....and a full tummy. Hehehe.

Between application forms & due date

Most of the time you need to sacrifice time, sweat and brainsss to go the extra mile.......

My proposal is still on its way. 95% under construction...., still needs to be polished.

I've started since Monday....filling in the forms, photocopying what's required, academic certificates, etc etc.

I'll be on holiday mode on the 7th (next Monday). Until then, there's so much to be done in a short period of time.

A very good friend dropped by to deliver her wedding invitation. Her wedding is on 20th. **Marks on calendar in E61i**

Gosh....this past few days my head's been thinking nothing but the application forms & my proposal. Even in my sleep! Honest.

Today's the very laaaaaaaaaaaaast day of schoooooooooool.

SCHOOL HOLIDAY...Here I come!!

Thank God for Aidiladha that falls on Friday (tomorrow), and we could start school holiday early. So yeah, Saturday is absolutely a break for us.

Unfortunately, surat jawapan untuk permohonan cutiku balum sampai. It's an approval either my cuti is granted or not. Otherwise, I may need to turn up for work during the holidays. I hope I get them real soon.

I haven't been planning so much for December YET! Since we're not going (or flying) anywhere this year, we'd probably take it easy and settle for Miri or KK trip, so to speak.

During this time of year, I'd reminisce on Korea and miss the Christmas melodies........

Can anybody explain....why do I have this particular song playing in my head since I got out of bed. It's been playing over and over again like it's on repeat or sumthin'. The unique thing about the whole thing is it's a dakwah song! Why a dakwah song is playing in my head. What did I do while I was sleeping last nite? Weird!!!

Alhamdulillah, everything went well today regarding Majlis Penyampaian Hadiah Murid Cemerlang 2009.

I could feel my body and mind is slowly sensing the tiredness after all the work, stress and making sure everything's done as planned.

I've been so busy lately that I just realised lama sudah inda jenguk Sabrina & Irfan...more than a week inda lawat my family. What's with surveying and pembelian hadiah-hadiah murid, guru-guru dan kakitangan warga sekolah. And this afternoon, meeting bersama ketua.

.

Seriously, when it's all over and done, I'm gonna headed to the spa or sumthin'....get a good massage....spend some or more time with the kids....give myself that self-awarded facial that I post-poned for weeks.....get some quality time with hubs. We've been both soooo into our own work and commitment that it's been a long while since our last dine out at Misato.

Can't wait for the school holidays. And how I wish we could go to Korea again.

Recovering...Alhamdulillah

Just a short update on what's going on tonite.

I feel a little better. My health is improving, so did my appetite.
Although, sometimes when I get hungry and start munching on food, inda jua brapa nyaman rasanya. Sounds ridiculous, I know. I guess I'm not 100% there yet.

I went on a shopping spree later in the evening. Bought a trophy....food as teachers' gifts. Eeeeeeverything is due on this Wednesday. All the hadiah murid, hadiah guru, hadiah kakitangan.... And I still need time to recover from my headache.

Tomorrow we shall start wrapping the gifts. Another loooong Monday for some of us. Lucky us.

Gosh! It's been so long since my last posting.

Updates...here we go...

I missed watching Nur Kasih for 3 consecutive weeks!! Unbelievable!! I still am UPSET & DISAPPOINTED with myself. I woke up in the middle of the nite when I realized what I missed. Apa buleh buat. Bukan lagi nasi sudah jadi bubur....at this point, it's BANGAS! There!!

But I heard that the show will be aired every weekdays soon. How soon? Which weekday?? I've no idea. So don't ask me any further. Unless if I work for TV3, maybe I would share something with you.

I'm actually not well, still recovering from a fever. I started having it on a nice Thursday morning. However, I can still tolerate after popping panadol & a good aerobic. I was reasonably okay until night time. I started to lose my appetite. Hubs brought home something nice to eat but I rejected them.

Next day (Friday) it got even worse. I didn't eat and only had little to drink. I threw up once and felt better after that. My head felt lighter, thank goodness. Suddenly I felt the urge to eat and didn't hesitate on that.

Then again, the dizziness came and I started to reject on food.

This morning, I know I wasn't ready to go to work. I was given permission to go home and rest. I know if I don't I'd probably throw up, or even pass out. I didn't get enough sleep nor eat the day before.

Tonite, alhamdulillah, my appetite is slowly improving. I hope I'm well enough by tomorrow, coz I need to do some errands for school. And time is very limited at this point.

Hubs decided to hold on to his graduation gown just for another week.

And so, I sit and wonder..........when shall we go for another shot at the studio........

The last time we did was on a Friday, two weeks back. Nevertheless, not happy with the result. I certainly want a perfect portrait picture of us in our gowns hanging on our living room wall. Wasn't that happy when I saw the condition of my tudung. That Photoplus photographer just took a snapshot without even checking everything. So, screw that!!

Another Friday last week, our family went for another photoshoot at this nice Universal photostudio in Kiulap. Really like their service!

So, hubs and I decide to take another shot there......pretty soon.

Alhamdulillah....

The PSR result this year is better than last year's dengan ada sedikit peningkatan dalam peratus lulus. Syukur jua.

Dibandingkan dengan keputusan dalam subjek Bahasa Melayu tahun lepas, cuma 4 orang murid saja yang belurih gred A. This year, syukur alhamdulillah, menyangkut 9 orang.

Yang bari hairannya, seorang murid kami ani, GP -A, Science -B, tapi yang lain (termasuk subjek BM) gred C. Subjek ku tah plg yang teturun.

Apa pun result kamu, wahai murid-murid ku, Cikgu doakan kamu sentiasa beroleh kejayaan di dunia dan akhirat. Amiin...

Selamat menempuh alam persekolahan yang baru tahun depan. Jangan lupa pesanan guru-guru kamu di sini.
