Oh this sucks big time! I finally got my hands on the Gossip Girl Ep. 13-16 dvds.

Unfortunately.... stuck tia!! Inda tia mau main rah vaio ku. Well, I've been warned over this sudah. I guess there's no other way than to return the dvds to the owner so she can return it back.

Damn it!!! Just when my addiction and longing for GG is about to kick in!

I caught this song The Saturdays - Issues being played at KristalFM this morning.
Love the lyrics... You can check it out at youtube. That's what I did.

I got hooked with the lyric/chorus:

Me and my heart we got issues
Don't know if I should hate you or miss you
Damn I wish that I could resist you
Can't decide if I should stab you or kiss you
Me and my heart we got issues, issues, issues

Food talk

Nothing interesting happened today... but I do feel like posting something.

This past few weeks, I noticed that I seem to eat a lot. One morning at my workplace, as I sat at my desk I feel this urge to have my coffee, which is absolutely normal. But when I couldn't find a 3-in-1 packet in the drawer, I reached for a mee-in-a-mug. So, as I was sipping through the warm soup, I asked hub to send me over the coffee packets, which he happily did a few minutes after that.

Without even finishing the soup, I went on to make coffee. At breaktime, I found myself munching on 4 chocolate cream biscuits. And then I had rice for lunch. All that eating made me wonder, what's going on with my body??

Oh gosh... Andre is screaming in the background... Probably practicing his vocal range!

Talk about food, hub and I had our late lunch at Villa Mauri yesterday.

I ordered spaghetti with white sauce while hub tried the curry laksa mee. (Hmm... I could still smell & taste the sauce). Mind you, my food alone costed 14 bucks (the portion is quite enormous for my appetite) and I also ordered strawberry milkshake for 5 bucks.

Talk about spending on food... I had to really finish my drink. It was as good as a litre of dutchlady or magnolia strawberry milk. And mine in a tall glass costed $5!!!

All in all, it was a good experience. The whole outlook of the restaurant looks really neat and welcoming. I would go there again. But when the time comes, I would have someone share my plate of spaghetti...just to help me finish them!

You know what... I think I need to really push myself with the extra workload. (Okay, I need self motivation to make this work!)
I have pending work that's due just next week regarding my Year 6 Pre-test this early February. Need to type the question paper...followed by all the photocopying and compiling after that.
Yesterday we stopped by Tanda Mata Cinta showroom. Hub has his eyes locked to this standing bamboo sticks that works as a room divider of some sort. He had wanted to get them since it was displayed in ICC the a few weeks ago. So at this point, he already made up his mind. It costed $140. It should look good if we get two of them, tho'.

Solar eclipse today

I read the news today from Brudirect. I'm sure this excites everyone in Brunei...

Partial Solar Eclipse Visible Over Brunei This Evening

Bandar Seri Begawan - A partial solar eclipse will be visible this evening over Brunei Darussalam. According to all RTB news report, the solar eclipse will pass across the Indian Ocean and West of Indonesia.

The whole eclipse will take place over three hours and 46mins.

According to the head of Survey Department Astronomy Unit Hj Julaihi Lamat, the partial eclipse is expected to take place from 4.42pm until sunset.

The eclipse will be visible in Brunei for one hour and 47mins. It will be monitored at Bukit Shahbandar as well as the Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Foundation Complex car park from 4pm. Hj Julaihi advised the use of a filter to view the eclipse as viewing it without protection may affect one's vision and even cause blindness. -- Courtesy of The Brunei Times

I just hope the weather is good today. Unfortunately, at the moment, it doesn't look promising. It's been cloudy and it drizzled for a bit just earlier.

Happy 'Niu' Year

I googled some chinese new year pics related to cows and I end up with a few rather funny+weird ones instead.

Eww... Siapa punya keraja ni! Macam pattern baju askar lagi tu, ganya ani kuniyeng!

Eat mor chikin! Eat mor chikin!

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR EVERYONE.

I am as glad as the chinese at the moment, as we can all share the break this January. That means, I get to spend late night and late morning. After all, it falls on Monday.

Oh, and I'm extra happy coz I could get away from my P.E. lesson. Don't get me wrong. I don't really hate P.E., I just don't like the idea of changing my clothes after the lesson. Such a 'mah fan' to have to carry your baju kurung & tudung on hangers to work. And not forgetting the shoes. Moreover, loads of books that you took home the other day.
But I guess, that's how it should be. It's part of my job too. So, I'm fine with it. At least, I've a job. And I'm grateful for that.

Sutuuuuu

I just had soto kuning for lunch today. And it was delicious!!! Terubat rasanya bila sudah merasa. I think I'm hooked to it for now. Dalam dua tiga hari ani, makan soto saja tah ku ni. Bek jua ampir rumah ngangah... Hehehe.

The yummies & the funnies

I soooo can't wait to catch on episodes of Gossip Girl. I shall get them tomorrow from my sis. Thanks to her good friend, Farah who lent her the dvds for my convinience. Kekeke...

I just remembered that my big sis did mention me about having a barbeque. I suggest that we do it at our family's home, since the kitchen is closer to the backyard. And that's making me taisliur all over again! I should really try this Nando bbq sauce.

Had a funny conversation with my sis tonight. And I just love to tease her.

I was in the phone with my sis earlier. And I went...

Me: Mana ko ni kan?
Sis: Rah flat kawanku di *dot*dot*dot*... Yetah tutup karan ni baru sekajap ah.
Me: Eh, brani jua ko ani jalan-jalan lagi. Tau sudah ujan.
Sis: Inda ku drive lah. Ani karang c-**** aga aku jua di sini.
Me: Eh, ko jalan sama ia lagi....Hmm...Are u still 'in denial'???
Sis: Apeh..whatever...anyway...ko mau episod bla..bla..bla...

Moral of the story: SHE'S DEFINITELY IN DENIAL!!! Hahahaha...

Tais liur punya ceta

It's past midnite...it's pouring outside. Went to bertahlil in the evening at Tua Mohammad. Recently he's been discharged from RIPAS after being sick and betahan for more than a month there. So, it's kinda welcome home gathering at his place.

Hub and I were watching the Korean channel on astro just now. Ngam tia rancangan makanan yang nyaman-nyaman di sana...segala restoran and kadai-kadainya. Ishhh...bari taisliur saja. Banar tah! Oh, and I also reminded hub to get me soto tomorrow for lunch. Why?... Hehehe...Taisliur punya pasal la, apa lagi. Ada Ngangah Janah beceta pasal Tua Muhammad makan soto banyak kemarin behari. Hmm... Aku yang mendangar cerita pun tebayang-bayang soto kuning...dengan aying sup daging yang panas...bawang guring... Fuh.... Bek tah kamu membali jua esuk! HAHA! Location: Kg. Sungai Besar.

Majlis Penghargaan bagi Pelajar & Sekolah Cemerlang PSR 2008

I am now in ICC attending this JAPSER ceremony. I was just instructed to stand like a pole to show students their way back to their seats. Ughhh...which was tiring! I had to stand straight up and smile while gesturing them to their seats. Oh my... I feel dizzy just sitting down now.
The good news is we're gonna have a 2-day break from Sunday to Monday. I guess it's not too early to greet all Happy Chinese 'Niu' (cow) Year.

Out and about...

Here I am, sitting on the couch, with both my legs up resting on a stool while a filipino giving me a footspa. I'm now getting sleepy knowing I've 3 more sistas tagging along with me & wanting the same thing. That means I've to wait a couple more hours for them to finish their session after I'm done with mine. This will take forever! Might as well post something with my phone just to keep myself occupied for now.
I went to a cousin's engagement function earlier this afternoon at Kg. Tungku.
So now we sistas decided to go out and about, doing 'nothings' like window shopping and spending a lil' over here and there. Hehehe... It's a good thing we don't do these too often. Otherwise I'd be needing a credit card! Haha!
Call me old fashion, but yeah, I don't own a swipe card, a master card or a visa card. I carry cash with me all the time. Of course, I carry an ATM card to go with it.
I wonder where we're going after this...

Picked up my JAPSER uniform from the tailor today. It looks okay, not too grand. After trying it on, I noticed fabric atu macam nipis and jarang daripada yang biasa. Hmm... Awu, jantah luan kan bediri rah tarang. Jadi centre of attention tu. I like the color and pattern, tho'.

A colleague told me about the matching tudung for the uniform. It costs 12 bucks. Oh well, I couldn't care less as long as I have the baju kurung. I rather wear my own pink tudung to go with it. The said matching tudung isn't that attractive anyway.

Can't wait to wear them this Saturday. The function is scheduled to start at 2 or 3 pm at ICC.

'Merait' or me-'write' time

In a sigh of relief...
Finally, I have a new layout as of today. The first layout I tried looked still, mellow, but this is more dramatic. A twist of vibrance behind a black background. Okay... I'll stick to this one for the time being.
I carried home a box of books that desperately need to be looked at tonight. And I haven't started 'merait' on it yet.
By the way, talk about 'merait'... I wonder why do we call it 'merait' anyway. I mean, it should come from the word 'rait'. So, why do they call it 'rait'??
I think, they meant to say 'write' lah. Tau tah, zaman dulu atu Englishnya pun diMelayukan. Hehehe...

My next best thing at the moment

I have been sleeping cozily since a few days ago. Hub is kind and thoughtful enough to surprise me with this super nice and soft pillow by Jean Perry.
At the beginning, I've been complaining over this new Jean Perry pillow we just bought earlier this week. There were on offer for about 10 bucks, so we took home a pair. Somehow, after a tried and tested session, I decided I don't like it. My head's too high up... macam kana jack!
Now, it seems like my soft pillow is the next best thing at the moment. It looks real good with my new pillow cover and bed sheet. Oh, and I look forward to sleeping and placing my head on it. It's soft, plush... zZzZzZzZzZzZzZz *snore*

Spotted!

Spotted & exposed! Check out Cheryl Samat's dress.

Notice anything?? This was shown live on tv on 20-Jan-2009 during Anugerah Juara Lagu Ke-23. I guess, it's not that easy to be a host. Telupa tia kali c-Cheryl ani. Entah-ntah baju dalamnya gantung-gantung masih di bilik persalinannya. Luan gagas.

Kisah cinta sebuting ani pun inda mau abis, kalah sinetron indon. Putar belit sana sini, inda jua mengaku. Tapi kalau dibaca articlenya rah link ani, lain macam saja bunyinya statement c-Memey ani. Macam inda menolak bangkai. But, then again, the bangkai a.k.a. Norman Hakim does look oh-so-good, huh Memey.

Random and sleepy

Tomorrow's Monday. Normally, at time like this, I'd be sitting in front of my Vaio just typing away preparing lessons for next week. I am typing away, yeah... but rite now I'm typing this post. Ergghhh... I hate it when I leave textbooks in school. And now my lesson plan is somewhat half done.
I'm now in the comfort of my room, feeling the coolness of air-conditioner... and now I'm feeling drowsy...sleepy...
I should stop now. This is not fair!

Dilemma of the JAPSER uniform

I was just told yesterday that we (Primary 6 teachers of 2008) are invited to this sorta formal function which will be held at ICC. In short, it's called JAPSER, whatever that means.
Anyway, in conjunction of that, we have to get this fabric from Shoppe Boutique for uniform. Okay, I don't mind getting the fabric, but the price is around 40 bucks. And to make things worse, it has to be ready and worn on Saturday next week. I was like, what? What if tukang jait ku inda sanggup menerima. There's a possibility that they'd be busy with uniform keluarga pengantin. That's what normally happens here.

So, I went to Serusop to get them. I purchased them in 4 yards of the washable kind, and thankfully the price goes down to $36.50. Luckily, I like the design and colour. It's rich pink!

And now, my next task is to think of the design for my clothing. This could go on forever!

An eventful Friday

Good day y’all.

Had a wonderful and eventful, yet tiring Friday yesterday. We had a sleepless night before. We were woken up by annoying noises made by the puppies in the backyard. It went on and on and on.

The morning went okay. I felt sleepy then when it comes midday. We had lunch at my in-laws. Then, the excitement for the day started as we got home. Keliatan tia anjing pendatang atu di halaman rumah. To add it all up, kedapatan tia puppies atu makan makanan ucing d bawah rumah. Adedeeeeh... Halau punya halau, belusiran tia durang naik ke bukit belakang rumah.

Ishhh... Inda puas ati rasanya. Datang tia idea Abang kan mengumban kuyuk-kuyuk pendatang ani, saja kan menakutkan. Aku pun setuju, since it's no harm untuk menakutkan saja. Inda batah, ada tia Abang manggil dari belakang, "Aku ngumban inda sengaja tekana sekong!"

Aduh! Freaked out ku tarus. Cek punya cek, I asked, "Sekali, mana tia??" "Tu ampai-ampai. Mati kali". Hah! Inda kan mati ngumban sekali saja! Cek punya cek lagi, ada tia bebunyi...bunyi kesakitan. Kesian! Kan nangis rasanya meliat. Tapi apa bulih buat, haram kan dipigang. I could only watch as it kept rolling on the ground. I couldn't tell where the injury was as there was no blood or what so ever.

Last-last, tepaksa panggil kaling singh suruh memindahkan anak-anak kuyuk yang cute & adorable ani ke Sungai Akar, pronto! And I'm not kidding when I made the statement 'cute & adorable'! In fact, they're playful. Unfortunately, among five of them, only one pup made his escape to the jungle. Oh well, at least I got my restful sleep tonight.

Later on....

Hub & I spent the afternoon paying a visit to our new 'family friend' in Kg. Sengkurong. We had tea and chat for a while, cerita sama nini, c-Zoul, Cigu Hjh and Cigu Pg. Haji Kamaluddin. It feels really good to be able to meet them again since our Korean vacation last year. Just sitting and talking in the comfort of their home, we felt very much welcomed. I hope to see the snapshots taken on that day by Zoul. Hehehe... He's pretty good with his camera. *winks*

Random dailies

Today's Thursday, and we're in the mid of second week of 2009. Highlights of the week is none other than American Idol. Well, I can't be bothered with any other amusing show.

So, we caught the show this evening. Thus, there's one 'brown' lady demanding that she's the next American Idol and the judges were wrong to not letting her through the audition. I can't help noticing how dark her skin was and she looked like she's 'high' or sumthin'.

My day started smoothly in the morning. I have high hopes for my Year 6 kids this year. I can see the potential in them. Nevertheless, there are still a few of them that need to be pushed.

Mudahan jua tahun ani peratus PSR untuk skulah kami naik. Amiin...
