A familiar melody from a lonely past

I was reminiscing over a lonely past that I didn't remember much lately. It seemed so so so long ago. It has been over almost ten years now...as a matter of fact, it would be a decade then this June. I haven't given much thought about it for such a long time now.

This would be the first posting that I ever talked about 'my lonely past'. It was followed by a happy future, though. I'm just glad that I got over it. It's a life experience that I would never change.

That being said, I felt tempted to search through old songs...melodies that I used to love to listen to...which are familiar to me...which reminded me of 'him'.

I searched and I googled -- and I found this particular number. If I could listen to it now...I will surely shed some tears. But, tears of pure joy that I was given a chance to love again.

What I'm up to these couple of days??

The outlook of my restaurant. Upgraded the door & windows, added a few more dodgy tables and chairs. Hehehe... Yetah, bersusah-susah dahulu, bersenang-senang kemudian, nyanta. Nanti lagi upgrade jadi super-exclusive interiornya.
You may notice that the outside looks impressive konon. Tapi dalam...heh!

Oh, can't wait for tonight. Gonna go to watch the football match between DPMMFC and SAF (Singapore Armed Forces). Wooo-hoooo....

AF7 elimination nite...

I am so pissed rite now! Cemana buleh c-Aril tia plg kuar ani ah. Inda jua randah peratusnya awal tadi. Eeeeeehhhhhh.... c-Yazid yang out-of-tune atu plg survive masih. Bari sasak jua eh. I really believe he could win this show, probably over the top 3 at least. Haiyaaaa....

Out with the girlfriends

I had a fantabulous time chatting away with Lynn & Laili during hi-tea at Rizqun today.
I was there first, around 2.30-ish... in search for parking space. I was in pure luck to have one rite in front of the entrance...with a security guard keeping a close eye over my car. Heh!
Berkat tah kali... hari ku kan belanja my close fwens. Hehehe.

We were chatting away during meal, and suddenly ada tia this chef and the staffs bringing out a birthday cake while singing the song. And I automatically stare at Lynn and Laili's faces, expecting to see any signs that they could possibly+secretly pass over the table, perhaps mischievous smile or sumthin'.

And I went, "Hey! U guys are not planning any of this, rite??!!!"
They quickly denied. Relieved, I made sure cake atu limpas dari meja kami. Fuhh... Baik jua. Centre of attention banar eh. Ramai lagi dangan antaie....

All in all, I had a great time just talking with the girlfriends. And I hope they enjoyed it as much as I did. [Sayangnya masing-masing nada mengambil gambar. Canggih jua sudah hp tu ah. Apraaaa...]

As I said to Laili today, "Keep up with us!" (coz Lynn and I awal sudah share banyak ceta hangat -- she was late, as usual). So she was a bit lagging...RAMnya inda basar.

Keep the business going....

I am currently getting to know another online game application available in Facebook, as introduced by a sis of mine, which she claims to be addictive. So, I said why not...

Here's what my restaurant looks like for the time being. I know it looks kinda' dodgy, yea. But I'm still learning and in time it will be upgraded. It's pretty hard to keep the employees up and running for business. You need to feed them every 3 hours. Heh! So, everytime I log on to check on them (after long, long hours), they would be like, on the floor...too weak to do anything!! Cali ah...

The fun part is you get to hire your friends to run your business, and decorating/upgrading the inside & out of the diner.

Before ani, I tried a couple of other playfish games on FB. The first was My Farm which I was addicted for quite some time, but soon after that I slowly drifted away. Coz I just don't see the point of doing a virtual farming when I never really bother with a real one either!

At the moment I do still get things going with my pet, Roxy in Pet Society....

Cali c-Danish awal pagi tadi

On normal days, I would stop by so the kids get a free ride to school.
This morning, as Danish walked out of the front door he has this big, wide smile on his face. I was too, coz today he has his 'songkok' on for school. He climbed into my Patrol while dragging along his schoolbag and a sealed paper bag. The first thing he said was...

"Anty, aku ada balikan anty hadiah".
"Aaaii...Yakaan... Hadiah hepi bday tuyu kah?"
"Awu".
"Ooooh. Okay. Terima kasih. Adik bali kan?"
"Awu.... Hmmm... Dalamnya beg ni". (Badap-bam-boosh! There goes the supposedly 'surprise gift'.)
*Trying hard not to laugh* "Ooohhh... Bah, terima kasih ah. Karang anty buka hadiah".
"Mami cakap untuk anty bawa buku".

At this point, I have a silly smile on my face all the way to school.
Not only that I don't need to peek into the bag, I also know what it is for. *smile*

Charming, huh?! That definitely made my day!

Celebrating 'me' nite

Oh man... I did mention about planning on holding a birthday dinner with my family. I wanted to have it over some place nice and rather different from the usual dine-out. Well, it's complicated than I thought.

Mom preferred i-Lotus, but I insisted on somewhere else. My sistas preferred Rizqun and Season. Steady kan diorang! I don't mind their tummy, but my main concern is making sure my parents like what they eat. Besides that, I want them to have a rather different dine-in experience...something out of the ordinary.

After a couple of phone calls to Airport Restaurant, Millenium Restaurant and Rizqun [note: Susah bah when my dad choosy over his food. Kesian jua. The rest of us no problem la, bantai saja!], .....finally I decided on having it at Seri Kandi Restaurant located in Kiulap.

Hmm... I know, after having this list of rather exclusive restaurants, akhirnya ke restoran biasa jua.

So I went there to check out the menu. A li'l reminder, I 've never been to this place before... But it wasn't that bad after all.

The place looks pretty good & impressive. Plus, the menu sounded really nice....and edible for daddy! Heh-heh. We have yet to try the food, tho'. The last thing I need is having daddy complaining over the menu. So, I hope everything goes well tonight.

So, here's the review of the dinner event over at Seri Kandi.

Makan malam berjalan dengan lancar seperti yang dirancang. Eseh...macam buat penilaian/catatan guru.

Dad seemed to enjoy the food, just like the rest of us. Thumbs up!!

>> Saturday, 18th

The day went per usual which includes being at work...in class with the kids. The weather was pretty hot too.

Apart from that, seperti biasa di sebelah malam, likewise on every weekend nights... a weekly family gathering at my in-laws home..... menunaikan sembahyang fardhu Maghrib dan Isya' berjemaah and tahlil recital... dan sekaligus berhimpun untuk makan malam.

After dinner, we gathered to watch AF in the living room. And that's when the surprise cake came out. Awww... look at hubs... how can I not love the man! That look on his face...worth as good as the cake itself.

Huff and puff, I blew out all thirty one candles... (Yeah, rite! Like it would all fit in a 1-pounder. Haha!)

We all share the chocolatey cake with the aunts, uncs and my lovely in-laws...

Little that I know, I have another surprise awaiting for me at home. We came home and as I entered the slightly dark living room, I noticed a shadowy-figure.... somewhat of a different piece of furniture sitting in darkness....

Lights on --- a beige, sweet-looking-and-welcoming, cozy chair.

Once again...how can I not love the guy. He's so attentive to my needs. Heh-heh. I'm sooo loving my present. Yaaay!! Just what I need. Something to look forward to after a hard day at work.

>> Sunday, 19th

Hubs and I spent tea-time with his family, the aunts & the uncs again.

In one incident, we were chatting away and hubs nephew, Danish seemed to be 'beulah', macam inda mau-mau kana pujuk. He was insisting of kan balik ke rumah. I tried to pujuk for a bit handing him over krupuk ikan. Senyum ia, mau jua ia ngambil. Tapi bari herannya, urang siuk minum-minum, kan balik tia pulang. Insisting lagi tu. Last-last, the father pun mengalah bawa balik. Inda batah lapas tu ada tia datang semula.

Soon after when it's ampir kan maghrib, we decided to go home. Both my sis-in-law then handed me gifts... *sigh*... how thoughtful. Then, Danish called out and waved at me sheepishly. He seemed to have sumthin' for me as well.... And he handed me his home-made birthday card!! Ooooh, panyaaa.... Patut tah menyamal inda tantu pasal dari awal... Ada hajatnya kan bari kad bday! Patut tah inda mau-mau kan balik. Heh-heh... Kesian deh-loh!!

I had fun viewing my Facebook today. And I love the greetings I received.

I'll probably have to post about the birthday and surprise gift some other day.

This week's gonna be a hectic one for I need to do lotsa revision with my kids for their upcoming test by the end of the month. Need to do loads of typing up and photocopying.

In between that, I'm thinking of having a dinner some place nice and different with my family. Planning on doing it at Li Gong or Emperor's Court...but perhaps end up at Rizqun last-lastnya. Hehehe... Still planning and depending much on my big sister's busy, flight schedule.

APRIL IS THE MONTH ~~

What a coincidence. Since April is my birth-month, and the fact that my blog is sorta 'ditaja oleh' Telbru (as I'm a frequent user of e-Speed), I feel that I may as well put up the Telbru web banner (like the one displayed on the right side) on my blog.

This April, Telbru is celebrating their 3rd anniversary. And they are organizing a couple of fun competition for the public to join and win something on this ocassion. Particularly, there is this Blog & Win competition for all the blog-fanatics.

I, for one, am running out of ideas to post entries that contain over 1000 - 2500 words. So, consider myself out. Good luck!

Adam vs. Allison

Behind the wicked eye-shadow... he has the most powerful voice...undeniably, highest note among the other six contestants of American Idol.



However, my least favourite has to be Allison... Simply because of her outrageous, flaming, red hair... which is totally unnecessary and over-done. Sure she has talent, yeah. However, I simply don't think that American Idol needs another 'Kelly Clarkson' to win the show.

Was out and about today. It was raining all afternoon.

So, hub & I stopped by this KK a.k.a. Indian shop located at Sg. Hanching. We noticed that the first floor is now opened for business. Ada jual baju...tudung...brooches... In short, macam-macam la. Yang bari herannya, the ladies clothings are quite cheap. Kalau tampat lain would probably cost $15...yet, they're selling for $9.90!

Unbelievably, I managed to walk out of the building with a woven tote & a similar 'woven' pair of slippers. Plus, both stuffs led to the price of less than 20 bucks (after 10% discount).

And so, here I am wondering...mampu jua ku shopping di KK ani ah. Kejarangan ku belurih ni. Hehe!
