Norman Hakim + Abby Abadi = cerai???

I am very much crushed with the breaking news regarding Norman Hakim & Abby Abadi's marriage.

Been reading and googling for their news lately.
Check out the links below:

I guess she has come to this point that she just wants to stop being humiliated.

Poor Abby... I truly hope they'll get back together.

Car modifications - I just don't get it!

There are a few car modifications that I just don't agree with.

It's really annoying to drive at night and having to face car headlights that makes you squint right until it passes you by. While crystal white coloured headlights look cool on some cars (especially on Lexus), believe me when I say it annoys other road users if you have to choose a slightly brighter headlights than normal ones.

Some car owners go way overboard choosing a slightly green colour headlights. I don't get it! Why green?? I remember when I first encountered it on the road (many years back). I thought the traffic light was moving!

And last but not least, I wish people would stop putting that chrome Transformer logo on the front grill of their car. I just don't get it. There's no way in hell your car would turn into a robotic Transformer figure, you know.

Uggghhh... So fugly!

Barack Obama is making history

Congratulations to Obama for winning the election.

I have very much respect for Michelle Obama. She's well educated, as well as she is a loving person. She has a strong personality, as Barack Obama passionately stated in his speech "the rock of the family".

It seems like viewers are starting to pay more attention to what Mrs. Obama will be wearing after being the First Lady.

Check the link below to view Michelle Obama Fashion. You'll be impressed after seeing this.

She's now a role model for others in the world of 'affordable' fashion.

I want this! *Bzzzzzzttt*

TASER - An electroshock weapon that uses Electro-Muscular Disruption (EMD) technology[1] to cause neuromuscular incapacitation or NMI[2] and strong muscle contractions through the involuntary stimulation of both the sensory nerves and the motor nerves. The Taser is not dependent on pain compliance making it highly effective on subjects with high pain tolerance.

Dinner at Misato Kiulap

Had a fantabulous dinner at Misato Kiulap with husband, sisters, bro-in-law and sister's boyfriend.
Sat there for hours! It was drizzling then at 9-ish.

Heard some good news that I'm yet to share here though. It is a bit personal.

Oh! And my very own favourite and long-awaited series of HEROES Season 3 starts tonight. I better get myself the downloaded version. I can't stand waiting a whole week for the next episode! Ain't that patient...

Personal rants

This past few days, or rather weeks, been busy with personal projects done among ourselves (Pr. 6 class teachers). We've been doing some baking and cooking.
It's extra fun for us since we've all finished with our syllabus and teaching. I like the idea of coming to work knowing that I don't have to worry about preparing for teaching. So that excites most of us - in a daily basis.

Unfortunately, the not-so-fun part is being asked to relief for other classes!
We've been 'babysitting' for a whole week now. It's annoying enough that we can't very much spend our sweet time doing our own work (sorting through stock books). We're being assigned to fill in stock books within 2 years back.

Am I complaining, yeah... Not with the stock books, but the 'babysitting'!

Waxing...the southern region

After much pushing and talking into, I finally have the guts, as a real woman, to step up to the challenge of waxing the entire lower part of my abdomen.
Okay, this is not a joke. This goes out to all the male species... We don't just do it for fun or pleasure of it, but it's literally a matter of hygiene. So, if you think we're a bunch of weaklings, and you have the balls to do it, please do try it. Some may think that we're shallow, but I rather say, WE GOT THE BALLS.
Many thanks to Ira who did a great job last night. She made sure I was okay without passing out the whole time. And thanks to both my sisters who literally pushed me into it. I might do it again.
FYI, the waxing costed me $30 + $10 for underarm.
My skin is still numb after the whole process last night. Overall, 'it' looks supeeeerb!

Internet down...

The wet weather on Sunday has done as much damage to our internet connection. The pouring rain, the drizzle, the cold, cold atmosphere...
Our home line is totally DEAD due to the wet weather. It's been 2 days now since I last logged on. Had to go over to my mom's place to have access. I'm currently logging on via my E61i.
Calling & reporting a complaint to Telbru customer service dusn't do much. Did dat Sunday evening, still no internet access.
I'm now thinking, Telbru pulang behutang rah kami ni....hutang internet line. Bayaran sewa bulanan tatap dibayar panuh, tapi pemakaian internet dalam 2 hari ani inda jua ada. Macam mana tu.... ishhh...

Pengumuman ini, pengumuman itu...

A press conference was made yesterday Tuesday announced by Mawi himself regarding his marriage to Ekin that falls on 20th December 2008 (Saturday) in Johor.

Pengumuman and the whole deal is too much. I'm not a fan of Mawi (thank God) and personally I think the live announcement is unnecessary. If you wanna get married, just do it. Who does Mawi think he is??? Royalty? A Hollywood star? Isshhhh.... too much jua eh!

And Ekin... she once said that she's ready anytime to be married to Mawi. Oh God!!! Knowing his successful career, who doesn't want to? Takut ia kali c-Mawi atu kana ambil urang. Hahaha...
I hope he realises what he's gotten himself into. Nevertheless, ngam jua lah tu they marry each other.
After all the exclusive announcement pasal kan kawin... takut karang ada lagi exclusive announcement yang dot dot dot....if you know what I mean. Banar inda!!

News that attracts my attention...

'Angelina - the bank raider'

Italian cops easily caught an armed robber after being told the gun wielding raider was Angelina Jolie.

Lookalike Annarita Ottonello, 29, staged a bank robbery in Genoa after running into money problems, say police.
But she was quickly caught, as she tried to escape by scooter, after police circulated the news that the bank had been robbed by an Angelina Jolie double.
A police spokesman said: "The resemblance was so uncanny that some witnesses actually thought it was the actress herself and that the robbery was part of a new Hollywood film.

"The woman had always thought that looking like Angelina Jolie was a bit of a bonus in her life
because it attracted lots of men.
Unfortunately in this particular instance it proved to be the worst possible thing for her - she was instantly recognisable.

RV'78: Angelina Jolie would be f**king pissed! She should make full use of that face! She could make money out of it. Duuuuhhh....

Drinking mom asks daughter, 9, to drive

TORONTO (Reuters) – An Ontario woman was charged with a traffic violation after having her nine-year-old daughter drive her home following a night of drinking.
"The woman was concerned that she was unable to drive having consumed some alcohol at a social function," police said on Thursday.
The child was driving the car slowly along country roads in southeastern Ontario on October 12 when police noticed how tiny she was and pulled her over, police said.

RV'78: How absurd can u be?!!

'Aping' around lands man in jail

ALTOONA, Pa. – A man who went to buy cigarettes in a gorilla suit to win a bet with his girlfriend is now being accused of receiving stolen property. Altoona police said they noticed a 20-year-old man walking down the city's Sixth Avenue just after midnight on Wednesday dressed as an ape.
Police said that when they stopped the man, they discovered he was wanted for receiving stolen property.
Police said the man told them he had gone to the convenience store in disguise because his girlfriend had bet him he wouldn't do it.
The man was charged with receiving stolen property and was released on bond.

RV'78: So much for a cheap bet!

Back to the past...*rewind*

These past few days, I've been catching up on old friends in Facebook. Mind you, they're not only old friends, but they're kinda my childhood friends. These two ladies used to sit close to me when we were in primary school.

*Pai Yuek School - A Chinese private school I attended 1982-1988. The building is still standing to this day*

Let's rewind for a bit. See if I can remember much detail. It was 1988, Primary 6. There were 10 of us in class, 5 boys and 5 girls. I sat next to Jong Mei Seen. Behind me was Leong Lee Chuan, Tieh Hee Mee and Lim Lay Geok.
The boys were Chieng Chiew Heng, Chieng Chiew Hao, Teo Siaw Ping, Teo Siaw Long, Foo Chuan Yaw.
Now, I'm not really keen on the boys, so I'm just gonna talk about the girls. Particularly, Jong Mei Seen and Leong Lee Chuan.
Mei Seen has a smaller figure. She's probably the smallest in class. But she's my best friend. Lee Ching is taller than all of us girls, I think. She's also the smartest among all of us girls.
So recently, I tried to look for Mei Seen in Facebook. (I tried searching for her before using 'Joanna Jong' but to no avail.) Miraculously, I found her! (First, I made sure it was really her by looking thru' her friend's list).
I shed tears of joy after looking at her photos. She has a 2 year old son & happily married, Petaling Jaya, Selangor. Then, it all started from there...I start to add Lee Ching, Aisah Md (ex-mate Form 1A), Nani Liza (ex-mate Form 2), Jessy Lim (Lay Gek).... *reminiscing*
Patricia Leong (Lee Ching) is now in Singapore, a nurse...a Sister now, I suppose. Her father was a nurse too back in Temburong. *Siiiiiigghhh*
I'm so glad to be meeting them in FB. I usually share photos+news around with my cousins (mum's side) in KK and KL. And of course, my extended relatives (husband's side).
But, to be finding childhood friends too...it's beyond my imagination. So, thanks to Facebook. They make it happen!

Peasants...fake or the real thing

Balik kerja tengah hari tadi, I decided to singgah at one kedai runcit called Noorfathima di kawasan Mentiri. After I locked my car, ada this male kid (probably under 10 years old) pakai t-shirt biru muda and seluar quarter length.
He was standing not far from the entrance (ada tampat stand penyapu & mop). Ditagurnya ku and gave me a hand signal as in"Minta $1".
I was shocked and totally ignored him. Ku tanya cashier kedai about the kid. She said that andang lama sudah anak atu di sana, tiap hari. If I'm not mistaken dari start puasa sudah. Again I'm shocked!
How can his parents be so ignorant.... How could they let their child minta sedakah like that. I'm disgusted.
When I left the shop, I decided to speak to him personally.
Di mana ko tinggal wang? Di sana... (sambil menunjuk ke jalan menuju ke Muara).
Jauhkah? Inda jua brapa jauh.
Inda ko skulah kah? Skulah. Aku balik skulah tadi.
Bah, patang ani inda ko skulah ugama kan? Inda... (sambil tunduk2 mungkin segan).
Pasal apa inda skulah ugama? Batah sudah inda...
Kenapa plg inda ugama? Nada baju ugama.
Siapa nama bapa mu? Kula bin Mansor.
Mana bapamu masani? Becarai sudah.
Mamamu di mana? Balik kampung ia.
Ko tinggal sama siapa kan? Abangku... (sambil tunduk2).
Sudah tah ko makan? Balum...
Nada urg basar danganmu tinggal d rumah kan? Nada...
*Sigh* Kesian jua ku mendangar...
Honestly, I'm the type of person yang inda suka bagi muka rah peminta sedekah. Normally, I would totally ignore them. Not because I'm a stuck-up b!+ch, but I don't like the idea of them being peasants (fake or for real) while they've parents or family at home. They are either being ignored or simply seeking for attention...I'm not sure. You may have heard about these 'kid peasants' asking for $$$ just for the fun of it. Ada yg pernah teliat, lapas kids ani dapat duit, ada yg selajur berlari ke kadai internet main CS (Counter Strike)!
Now that disgusts me!
However, in this case, I've a hunch that this kid is telling the truth. Why I said so... Because he didn't for one second hesitate replying my questions. Inda ia walk away... inda penyeluru or senyum2....U noe lah, if yg jenis kurang ajar nampak dari facial expressionnya.
He stood there speaking to me in a good manner. If ia jenis yang bedusta, he'd probably hesitate giving me all the details...u noe, takut kedapatan or kana report to his parents.
I purposely questioned about his father's name, just to test him & see his reaction.
Hmmmm.... Allah saja yang tahu. So I hand him 50 cents (the change I got earlier) and said, "Nah! Agatah membali nasi di dalam".
Mind you, I'm not 'karit'. I just disagree that he's there asking for money. I noe it's not his fault & just hungry for lunch. But, karang nyanyat ia diri2 d kadai atu minta $$$ saja rah urang. Inda pedah2 branti skulah ia pulang kraja minta sedakah!!

PSR 2008 exam is officially over

These images are taken in the examination hall (Dewan Serbaguna) at Sekolah Yayasan SHHB.

*Brand new & cozy*

PSR 2008 is officially over and done!

I'm soooo relieved that it's over. So the last big thing to come our way is the RESULT! Normally it will come out before the December school holidays.

I'm expecting better results for this year's batch. Nevertheless, I'm not sure if they're better than last year's batch. Teaching Primary 6 is totally new for me.

I hope they'll get thru' with flying colours. I hope that I'll be seeing new faces next year. I hope they're no repeaters. I hope that they'll be better students and head towards a brighter future in whatever they do. I hope that they're better than me as an individual. I hope that they could make full use of whatever knowledge they've learnt from me.

I hope they'll gain success in life and remember me as part of their learning experience.

Hooked on them...

These days, you'll find me sitting religiously in front of the TV (every Tuesdays & Wednesdays) catching up on Lipstick Jungle, America's Got Talent and The Moment of Truth.

Lindsay Price, Kim Raver & Brooke Shields *These ladies are absolutely gorgeous!*

The Magnificent Leonid *He definitely caught my attention!*
