Katy Perry fever

Oh and the vidclip (you can watch it here) is pretty awesome! Like, that's the time of era I wanted to live in. The hair, makeup, outfit & shoes are super-vintage! Love it!!
As I browse through her other songs, I found another nice slow number called "I'm still breathing". Most of her lyrics are pretty different from usual. I mean, they don't have direct meaning if you listen closely.
I can't help wondering how could a simple looking lady be transformed into a super-sexy individual. Damn it! I envy all her vintage shots!! She has all the vintage to-die-for clothes to wear too, like this one. How awesome is that!
It looks as tho' she's smirking at me!Lots of love by Taneya Leong at 11:34 PM 0 comments

Cool Friday...
It's Friday, hub is at the mosque menunaikan ibadat Jumaat. So, I have a lil' 'ME' time alone here.
I know I should be at home typing my pending test papers. But, we had some stuffs to be sorted out, such as the car insurance and road tax.
Satu hal lagi...turned out that the battery of my new Acer-Mini is not working. I charged it last night just to make sure. And after 30 minutes or so, tried to switch it on with the battery, tapi inda mau on. Ishh...frust sikit jua rasanya la. Baik jua masih under warranty. So, they decided to order me a brand new battery.

This ain't the Jay-Z song
In the staff room.... a couple of veterans were sitting having their coffee break. One asked if anyone could remember lagu kanak-kanak zaman dulu. Here's one that they came up with. I'm just fascinated by the lyric that's made of every letter of the alphabet.
(Correct me if I messed up with the lyric, tho').
The A-Z song:
Abu Bakar curi daging, emak Fatimah geli hati, ikut Jalan Kuala Lumpur, makan nasi orang putih, Queen rasa sakit tulang, ubat vitamin w x y z.

BBQ-ing
Oh well, as long as my tummy is full. That's what matters most. Hub didn't come along as he's occupied over some pending notes that needs typing.
Tomorrow's another Friday. I hope to get up a tad bit early, just so I can get some marking done. A warm cuppa coffee in the mornin' should do the trick. That really motivates me.

Hooked to this melody...
Tangga - 'Be My Wife'
Damn why it's so hard to say
Secret feelings locked away
Heaven knows I've always felt so much
For you
I'm not that romantic
Even worse I'm sarcastic sometimes
And now it's time I tell you this
What's always been my only wish
Reff :
Eventhough I'm no spiderman or superman
I'll be the one who guards you
Night and day and trust me
I don't need no spiderweb or laser eyes
Cause you're giving me
The strength to say
Share you life and be my wife
Damn why so hard for me to say
Secret feelings locked away
Heaven knows I've always felt this much
For you
I'm not that romantic
Even worse I'm sarcastic sometimes
And now it's time I tell you this
What's always been my one
and only wish
Bridge :
Can't believe what I heard
It's so beautiful filled in my soul
Please tell me that I'm not dreamin
Will you be my wife... Baby...
powered by lirik lagu indonesia
You can listen to it via youtube here.
Tell me what you think...
Personally, this is the kind of tune that could put me off to sleep easily just before bedtime. So dreamy and soothing..... *sigh*

Good Monday break
I was up with a spinning head this morning. I had the exact same thing the other day. It's a good thing that I'm not working today.
I haven't been doing much since yesterday, though I do have a lot of pending work that has to be done, yet I have not even started yet.
First, I need to type up my lesson plan for this week.
Second, I need to check all my kids' work that I've carried home with me.
Third, laundry... finished that earlier. But I still need to sort out the other room which is full of piling clothes that has to be folded neatly into wardrobes.
Hub is awfully exhausted after the whole event which took place at the Stadium Hassanal Bolkiah. Walaupun tugasnya hanya membawa dan memerhatikan murid, but the long walk must've drained out his energy.
Oh well, I need to get back to my work now...

Hari Kebangsaan NBD ke 25 tahun
I just thought it would be nice to share the knowledge and information regarding the logo of this year's National Day. I found this useful info from here while I was blog-hopping today.
Negara Brunei Darussalam 2009
Payung tunggal berwarna kuning melambangkan sistem kepimpinan beraja.

Hot Thursday
Such a hot day... the sun is blazing... I was sweating in class earlier during the day... Rite now, my body feels warm even in an air-conditioned room.
What was I up to today...
1- Attended the Perjumpaan bagi Kejohanan Bola Jaring Sekolah2 Rendah Kawasan Brunei IIB at Kementerian Pendidikan Kokurikulum located in Perpindahan Lambak Kanan.
The tournament will be held on 1st and 2nd April 2009.
Venue: Multipurpose hall of Stadium Hassanal Bolkiah Berakas, somewhere close to Indoor Stadium.
Berdasarkan undian, our school will be competing against S.R. Kapok.
** Knock-out system.
** Senarai sekolah2 yang akan berlawan dalam kejohanan ini hanya di antara Sekolah2 Rendah Kawasan Brunei IIB sahaja. (Tidak termasuk Brunei IIA seperti yang lazimnya sebelum2 ini).
2- Contact time session with big boss and penolong big boss at 10-ish.
I managed to slip half way into this session which ended about 10.40 or so.
It’s too hot to go out today. I backed down the offer of tagging along with hub in the afternoon. Hence, just as he drove away, big sis texted me on Facebook asking for a favour.
Ughhh... Her favour is mostly having me as a companion chauffeur nowadays. But I rather do it. Or I might be put at fault if something were to happen that involves her and the car. I remember that one time but I rather not share. It would only upset her if I do. I don’t wanna ridicule her. Hehehe...

Hey, there's that weird song playing right now on Kristalfm. The chorus goes like...
I'm unstoppable...unstoppable...unstoppable....UN-STOPPER-BALL!!
HAHAHAHAHAAA! Sing it with me...un-stopper-baaaaall!

Maybe us sistas should do a get together sometime... just a plain once-a-month thing...a grocery shopping, windowshopping, a mani-pedi session, dine out & trying different dishes...sitting in a cafe & sipping on ice-blended mocha, maybe. Haha! That would be fun, really!
I miss the old days when I used to go out with girlfriends, without a care in the world what time it is. Yeah...but I guess I've gone through that phase and this is the part of my life that I like to call...growing up mature. I mean, I'm about to be 31 in just a matter of a couple of months or so (but, who's counting, yea!)
Here I am, a working woman (not considered a lady anymore). It's less fun being a woman, I guess. But, you gotta change. Fun isn't that necessary when you have someone to share your life with.
Nevertheless, I don't want to look like a woman who doesn't realize her own age. You will see these typical women once in a while. They look like they spent so much time dressing up (like a teenager does) and some would probably dress unlike their age. Hmmm... you get what I mean? It's like...you caught yourself saying, "Okay, you over did the make-up/ outfit/ hairdo!"
Wow... I don't exactly know where I was going with this kinda topic. That's purely random for all of you. I talk too much!

My white, short-hair, half siamese kiddy cat Paris is soooo filthy dirrrrrty. Yesterday, hub & I were shocked to see his all-white fur has changed to grey. His face...oh, you shud've seen his face...is sooo filthy...like a homeless person who roams around begging for food. It's hilarious when he looks up and meowed. Macam kana badak mekap grey...while it highlights his eyes.
I think he needs to visit the pet service tomorrow. A shower and a li'l pampering is all he needs.

This too shall pass...
Pay attention to what you read. After you have finished reading it, you will know the reason it was sent to you.
Here goes:
People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person. When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be.
Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.
Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.
LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant. Thank you for being a part of my life, whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime.

A love note for dear hub
I've been meaning to post this love note for dearest hub. And since it hasn't been a week after his birthday yet, then I guess it's not late.
Why do I love you?
I love you because you cherish me… because you love me for who I am, for whatever flaws that I have with me.
I love you when you wake me up on Fridays and Sundays, you’d bring me out for breakfast.
I love you when you make me egg sandwich for breakfast to bring to work.
I love you when you peck me on the cheek in the morning and another one before leaving for work. I love you when you send me to work. I love you when I kiss your hand before getting off the car. I love you when you wait in the car for me to return from work.
I love you when we go shopping and you’d carry the heavier stuffs. I love you for being a gentleman.
I love you when you say you care for me. I love you when you ask me if I’m hungry. I love you when you cook me meals. I love you when you make me cuppa coffee. I love you when you buy me Coke and junk food from the nearest store and tell me then that you’ve thoughts for me earlier.
I love you when you tell me that the simplest things reminded you of me or you see things that I would like.
I love you for your warm hugs. I love you when you call me to sit on the couch with you. I love you when you hold my hand in the car.
I love you with all my heart. I love you when you spoil me rotten with gifts. I love you when you call me ‘Baby’ and ‘Alai’.
I love you for all the simplest things that you do. I love you for being there for me this whole time. Most of all, I love you for being a part of my life.

Up close & personally dislike it

Last Friday, we went to take a closer look at Hummer H3 in their showroom in Beribi. I was enthusiastic since last night as we watched Evan Almighty on HBO... while Evan drive this huge Hummer. On tv, the vehicle looked super massive... I wondered how much it costs, how big the car is up close, what does it look in the interior, etc. So, I went saying to hub...
"Bah... Esuk liat Hummer tani rah showroom. Lawa ah, basar sulnya..."

And so we went in the afternoon. It looks really good from afar. As we walked closer, I reached for the passenger door and opened it. Hmm... Sampit jua ah. And atapnya macam randah. I realized then that it looks a bit like my dad's mitsubishi pickup. I remember the first time I got into the pick up last year, I knocked my head on the upper door frame! Atu sakit! Sudah pun tehantuk, teduduk lagi tarus tu.

When I walked over to take a look at the rear part, I wasn't that interested anymore. I was thinking, 'Mun menarik perahu bisai ni dipakai basahan saja'.
I dunno about you guys out there, but in my point of view, everything is soooo squarish, like driving inside a cardboard box. I realized that Evan must've driven a bigger version of Hummer, maybe an H10 or sumthin'.
Hehe... and then, ada tia this sale representative came over, so we ask the price... hmmm.... 100 over thousand, ke'!
I mean, come on... baik lagi ku membali Land Cruiser VX mun cematu harganya. Tantu basar & luas. Haiyaaa... apraaa. Adang tah ku minat Hummer ani. Mekasih saja.

Naughty Li'l Lizzy made an unwanted appearance!
I was about to drive home from mom's place when I noticed a lizard poop rite on the dashboard in front of the steering wheel. And I went, "Bari heran jua ada taie cacak dlm kreta. Mcm d rumah saja. Tadi ku drive inda jua ku teliat ah".
As soon as I said that tepikir jua tarus jangan-jangan ada ia kali dalam ani. As my eyes explore the dashboard in front of me, there it was hiding against the windscreen INSIDE the car INFRONT OF ME!
Buru-punya-buru while grasping a silver sunscreen protector in my right hand, naughty lil' lizzy is out of sight for the time being. Tawakkal & praying that it wouldn't emerge itself out from its' hiding spot, I pushed myself into driving anyway.
Finally I reached home safely. Fuh! Baik jua selamat sampai. Mun ia ada time driving antaie, awu...melumpat ku kali eh!
Graciously pushing the door wide open, there it was again....the li'l culprit....plastered in between the door's hinge...its' tail slightly curled at the end!
Shit, shit shit! In a matter of seconds, I was already in the passenger seat!! I dunno how the hell did that happen. My two long feet and arms just went pulling myself out of the way...as far as I can from the li'l culprit.
Damn that lizard. Another problem... It better not be dead inside my car!
Angit tia bau bangkai cacak sebulan.

As of today, I may have to drive myself to work every morning. I'm so used to being sent to work, kana antar kana aga macam tuan puteri. So, this morning I went off a cuppa minutes early just so that aku ampit paking garaj. As usual, my two bodyguards (Farahiyah & Danish) tag along to school, off costtt.
Had lunch at my mom's place & sembang-sembang for some time before I drove back home. Hub arrived home rite after Maghrib. I was so worried as I couldn't reach him late afternoon. I thought something bad came up. Turned out he was just doing some last minute shopping to prepare for his upcoming teaching practice. Phewwww....
