Long time no post. Me busy...not really. Me lazy...yea, kinda.

Oh, I watched a couple of black movie yesterday and earlier this morning. One is "Three can play that game" and the other one "Daddy's Little Girls".

Funny flick. You should catch "Two Can Play That Game". It's waaay better!

I can't help thinking that the children could be real siblings. They kinda have similarities.

And to add it all up... I just love Gabrielle Union. Love all the movies she starred in.

School break starts NOW!

Ah, the first term of school holiday is here. 10 days... It doesn't sound like much. Although it's more like a brief school holiday, it'll be enough for us teachers out there, just to get ourselves away from the hectic atmosphere what's with running and screaming kids in the background.
That being said, I do still need to stop by the school from time to time delivering lessons for extra class. At least, I won't be encountering screaming children during breaktime.
What shall I do with my 10 days break? At the moment, I do feel the need to go out more...like to Bukit Shahbandar and Tasek Lama. Apart from that, I'd love to check in to a hotel somewhere.... and it's been a long time since my last trip to KB. Maybe I should talk hubb into it.
Kan ke KK...jauh. Kan ke Miri...takut. Baik tah stay dalam negeri saja, for now.

Tomorrow's the last day of school before the first term school holiday.
Yay yay! Lusa cuti! Yay yay...
Tapi ada EXTRA CLASS masa cuti! Jangan tah prasan kan cuti banar-banar. Awuuuuu... Jangan dulu angan-angan jauh.

The 'Ouch!' and the 'Wow!' of the day

Had a waxing session in the late afternoon. And let me tell you this...Damn, it felt like the first time!!

Regardless of all the pain, I do feel satisfied with the service today. Ira waxed my underarms and trimmed my brows F.O.C. Thanks to her. Plus, I feel super clean right in the southern region, if you know what I mean. Hahaha... I guess I got the balls to do it, AGAIN!!

In the evening, my sis surprised me with the arrival of my VS Retro Suitcase. As excited as I was, I did not expect it to be as big as a small travelling bag! I thought it would be as big as a regular tote that I carry around with me to work. Eseh! Kan dipakai kraja tia konon, basar ah. Ujung-ujung kana pikir ku tidur di skulah.

Oh well... whose care?!
If hub doesn't approve of it, I think I need to let it go or put it on sale or sumthin'. But I still like it oh-so-much. Let's hope he'll say it's okay to keep.

Today's Friday the 13th

**Background music: Farah Asyikin - 'Kembali Lagi Di Sisimu'

My birthday is coming up soon. Personally, I don't feel like celebrating much. It's less fun if you're turning over 30+ of age.

If you're asking what I want for my birthday, I'll definitely say I don't know. Coz I really don't bother about presents anymore. I rather get them my own way, I suppose. I rather spend it with my own money. What I would like to do on my birthday... I think I wanna spend the day with my family & hub. If I was given a birthday cake, I'd like it if I could blow the candles & cut the cake with my mom. Why? I think it would be wise to spend a birthday with the one who gave birth to you. It's not just my 'birth'day, but I do share the day with my mom. She held me on my 'birthdate' and made sure I'm alive, literally.

I slept late last night and watched this 2004 chick flick '13 going on 30'. And I can't help feeling the message it sent through the movie itself. I do somehow feel like I missed out on some part of my life. What I'm trying to say is I'm 30 now... I need some changes over this life of mine. Will I stay living this way for the rest of my life. What I want or need is a massive change that could turn my perspective around. I wanna please people around me at the same time. I wanna make my parents happy. I want to prove something that could affect everyone around me. I wanna show it to the world.

I want something that I can look forward to for the rest of this life of mine. I want an addition to my very own family tree. That's all that I could wish for in this lifetime.

Googled for Lisa Loeb's eyeglasses coz I desperately need to know the brand that carries her eyeglasses. What I found isn't exactly the piece she's wearing, but somewhat has similar frame style. This one's called Bebe Eye Candy eyeglasses.

It's raining outside. Heard about Japanese Pop Culture that's been going on since yesterday held at Chancellor Hall of UBD. I'm keen on watching this particular Japanese anime screening famous by the name Doraemon. But I'm just too lazy to go out.

I sooooo want this!

Been doing some hunting over new pair of specs. Thought of getting one to replace my old, worn off piece that I normally wear at home while doing chores & stuff.
Last night, I visited one outlet at Yayasan Complex. And I like what I saw. There's this nice piece from Calvin Klein with a bit of diamante over each side. And I thought to myself, "This is just too good to be worn at home. Looks like I'm going off track here. Should I get 2 pairs??"
It would be nice to get Transitions lenses altogether. But at the same time, I do need to replace my daily specs. Ughh...decisions...decisions...
Good news is that I could pick any frame style from the store. So, it's up to me to consider over the price and brand of the glasses. And they will charge me $196 for the Transitions lenses (with non-multi-coated type).
Plus, they don't recommend multi-coated over the Transitions lenses as it will damage the glasses surface. The coat will eventually peel in time, thus spoil the special lenses.
Good to hear... Yet, I haven't made my decision.

PMS-ing again

I simply don't like the feeling of first-day-of-PMS. I feel yucky...and the pad I'm wearing is somewhat 'minty' coz it's a herbal, medicated type.
Yeah, I'm disappointed, frustrated. We both are, off costtt... It came late, false alarm. If you know what I mean... :-\

Katy Perry fever

Okay, this post is like an official post covering stuffs about Katy Perry. Tho' it's not my intention really. I was searching for her songs in youtube and found fancy and somewhat interesting stuffs about her. Like, if you came across with (or check out) Katy Perry- Konichiwa bitches it's actually covering about her talking to the webcam in her room while in Tokyo. It's pretty weird and cool at the same time. (I love her eyes!)

Actually, I'm currently hooked to this number "THINKING OF YOU" by Katy Perry. The chorus goes like:

"Cause when I'm with him
I am thinking of you
Thinking of you
What you would do if
You were the one
Who was spending the night
Oh I wish that I
Was looking into your eyes"

Oh and the vidclip (you can watch it here) is pretty awesome! Like, that's the time of era I wanted to live in. The hair, makeup, outfit & shoes are super-vintage! Love it!!

As I browse through her other songs, I found another nice slow number called "I'm still breathing". Most of her lyrics are pretty different from usual. I mean, they don't have direct meaning if you listen closely.

I can't help wondering how could a simple looking lady be transformed into a super-sexy individual. Damn it! I envy all her vintage shots!! She has all the vintage to-die-for clothes to wear too, like this one. How awesome is that!

It looks as tho' she's smirking at me!

Can't wait to meet up with my buddies Lynn & Lili tomorrow for hi-tea. That being said, I should starve myself for the afternoon buffet... keh keh keh.

Cool Friday...

Currently, I'm sitting alone, getting online at The Arch... and having caramel latte while at it.
It's Friday, hub is at the mosque menunaikan ibadat Jumaat. So, I have a lil' 'ME' time alone here.

I know I should be at home typing my pending test papers. But, we had some stuffs to be sorted out, such as the car insurance and road tax.

Satu hal lagi...turned out that the battery of my new Acer-Mini is not working. I charged it last night just to make sure. And after 30 minutes or so, tried to switch it on with the battery, tapi inda mau on. Ishh...frust sikit jua rasanya la. Baik jua masih under warranty. So, they decided to order me a brand new battery.

Tadi pagi, as I was making coffee, I saw these....on our meja minum.... So, I grabbed 7 out of the kantung plastik.

**Some may call it, belimbing buluh. But here in Brunei, we call it belimbing p***ng.
Oh man, I've been craving for its sour taste since a couple of months ago, I guess. Huh! Sekarang baru tejumpa, finally. Nya my colleagues, "Kan ko makan di mana?" I said, "Di rumah eh...cacah sama kicap. Inda ku mau makan pagi-pagi eh. Jara ku eh... Sakit parut eh lehnya. Luan tais liur meliat dangan makan becacah kicap, complete sama belacan. Nah, skalinya inda batah eh. Memulasss!"

Balik saja ke rumah, apa lagi. Hmmm.... kebalasan eh masamnya. Yetah selama ani ditunggu-tunggu.....

This ain't the Jay-Z song

In the staff room.... a couple of veterans were sitting having their coffee break. One asked if anyone could remember lagu kanak-kanak zaman dulu. Here's one that they came up with. I'm just fascinated by the lyric that's made of every letter of the alphabet.
(Correct me if I messed up with the lyric, tho').

The A-Z song:

Abu Bakar curi daging, emak Fatimah geli hati, ikut Jalan Kuala Lumpur, makan nasi orang putih, Queen rasa sakit tulang, ubat vitamin w x y z.

Been so malas to post anything these past few days.

Monday...

Last night, hub and I managed to get a glimpse of this Pameran dan Jualan Antarabangsa held at The Mall, Gadong. Somehow, we expected to see 'jualan antarabangsa' as mentioned in the radio. Too bad, though. And, sampat jua kami ke Pesta Buku lapas atu. Nampak lebih meriah and kunjungan pun menggalakkan. Well done!

On this Sunday, mungkin akan diadakan perjumpaan bersama ibu bapa/penjaga murid Tahun 6 bersama guru-guru mata pelajaran di sekolah kami. Personally, I hope all the parents could attend as it is important for us (both parties). Mudahan jua naik peratus lulus sekolah kami untuk PSR tahun ani. Amiin...

Next week on Monday, cuti sempena Maulidur Rasul. And in the same week, insya-Allah akan dijalankan Ujian Penilaian bagi Tahun 6. I have not....I repeat, HAVE NOT prepare anything regarding the test paper yet. Ughhh... I'm soooo not ready.

Mana lagi masaku kan merait latihan kanak-kanak yang setiap hari dibagi atu... Limpas saja sehari inda merait, menimbun tia sudah. Space meja pun makin tia sampit ketimbunan buku. Macam Great Wall of China....Tembok Berlin... Ah! You name it! Duiii... Kan melatih kanak-kanak bola jaring lagi.

Sabar saja tia...............

I decided to purchase a new pair of specs here in Brunei. If I'm not mistaken, I had only 3 or 4 previous specs since I first wore them when I was in Form 3 back in 1992. And I usually got them from Limbang as it is cheaper, off costttt.

Somehow, when I went to the usual outlet, I tried to look for the latest or more like my preferred frame. I kinda like the one that Lisa Loeb currently wears... nerdy, classic, cool.
(For me lah!)

She always has these cool pair of glasses that looks good on her. These are the thick frame glasses she used to wear, as I remembered.

Bewitching frame! It highlights her beautiful eyes.
So now, I'm wondering.... Murahkah buat di sini????? Kadai kacamata mana yang best-best ah? And I mean, not overpriced la. I don't really bother the branded items. As long as I can get the right frame style. I need to do some research on this. Ishh...bali kaca mata pun research.....*faning*....

I just feel like sharing a rather touching info (that I've received via e-mail from a close friend of mine, Miss Lynn) with the rest of my respectful Muslim readers.

Dato Dr. Hj. Mohd. Fadzilah Kamsah wrote:

Just to ambil iktibar untuk mendidik diri & family. So,it's good if we can remind each other because in Rasulullah's last sermon, baginda pun did mention that all those who listen to him (on shall pass on his words to others, and those to others again; and may the last ones understand his words better than those who listen to him directly....Yang baik datang dari Allah & yang kurang itu is from my weaknesses. Do impart this knowledge; you'll lose nothing.
Wallahu A'lam... Terima Kasih.
